I think it would be cool if all the forum members who could could get together for a gathering. Like go to dragon-con or somewhere where the bros. Chaps are meeting, say hi to eachother and stuff, say hi to the bros chaps. Any kids who are nervous about abductions could bring theier parents, I mean, if this works, I'm bringing mine. And we could have shirts with our forum names and stuff. I know it might be hard for you guys in canada and Europe, though.

We've discussed this before, and the consensus is that it's just too big of a project, too soon. Maybe in a couple of years when a lot of our members are older and can travel on their own.

You're not alone in your idea, though. I'm sure we've all thought about it one time or another.

Next time the Brothers C. make a public appearance, we should have some kind of 'guest book' thing on the wiki for people planning on attending, just so we can see.

Ya...but the real problem comes down to location.
I mean...lets say the Brother Chaps are going to some con in Atlanta....how many people would be able to go? If you are in the surrounding states to Georiga, how many of your parents would be willing to take you? To drive you a few hundred miles to see some people they've never heard of and to meet some people you only know online...
And thats just for people who live near there, most of our forum members live 1000+ miles from Atlanta...so ya.
But ya, I guess a small meeting with a few forum members that could go would be kool.

Yeah, it is a big undertaking that might be a challenge to pull off well with a large crowd at this point in time. But on my end, all I know is that I'd try my absolute hardest to be there if it happened, and I also want to make the effort to visit several of you individually (along with a lot of other online friends I'm long overdue to hang out with) at some point. It's gotta happen one day, right? :)

Curses to Canada and it's sparse population! Anyone on the forum from Canada is probably a zillion miles away from me.

I wrote about a get together one time in my long forgotten fanfic. It'd be sweet to meet each other, but that would be near possible.

I could easily go to any convention in Atlanta. It being only an hour and a half away and all.

Of course, there is a slight money issue.

Well, seeing as how I live in California, the chances of me going to an Atlanta con are slim. But if I ever wind up going to the San Diego Comic Con (which I plan to do someday), I'll tell you. Maybe I could organize something, even if it's just us meeting up and stuff. Probably not, though.

Heh, yeah, probably. Still, it would be pretty freakin' awesome. Heck, just going to Comic Con would be awesome. That's, like, one of my dreams.

As a poor college student the only way I can get to Atlanta is to drive for 16 hours.

This is a great idea, but it is freaking impossible to make it happen.

Driving 16 hours is not that impossible, you could be there in two or three days. And American fuel is extremely cheap, so... :p
But seriously, that's just something you couldn't do. "Mom, can I travel to the other side of the world to see someone I know from the internet?"
Come to think of it, I've been very near to a lot of your houses. Maybe I've even seen you.

Something else you could do, also very awesome: Sending stuff with snailmail, like Jenny and I did. A lot of fun, not really expensive, and good to impress your friends and teachers.

Did some of you actually have real forum meets? I have three times, with a Dutch/Belgian forum. Lots of fun. The next will be in March.

That was pretty good, and short; like some kinda anime.

I'm considering, that once I'm living on my own, I'm gonna go on a massive road trip to each one of your guys' houses. Maybe.

Meeting up's not so hard. I've done it numerous times with online friends at both cons and just general areas.

But I agree, you should probably wait until the users here are a tad older (I mean, I was 18 when I first ventured out to a con to meet up with some pals).

Actually, it's not over. There's a lot more that I still have to write. Curse that writers block.

Well, at least the people who live near Geogia could go, though. Like Teff, me, anyone else... and going to some kinda cool con is one thing I want to do anyways, so I'll probably be there this year, if any of yalls want to come.

I've seen one guy that I only knew on the forum before. I didn't talk to him or anything though, since there were a lot of people there and stuff...

Of course, the problem with having a convention in Atlanta is the rest of us. While it's only a short while for you, it's out of the question for a lot of us, including a Massachusetts native like myself.

I'll be waiting with a crowbar in hand... :P

If there's any convention that I'm definitely going to do everything in my power to go to in the future, you can bet mucho dinero it'll be E3. ;)

Meeting up a couple people is not difficult. Meeting up with a couple dozen people is much, much more difficult. The difficulty of meeting up increases exponentially with the number of people involved.

If it would happen, I'd wait a couple years so younger memebers can maybe get the means to go all the way to where ever it would happen to be. Like...For me getting to Atlanta would be a huge undertaking, I'd need to get money and a window of time to get there and...alot of other stuff.

If only to play devil's advocate, I should point out that there are always going to be younger members who don't have the means to attend a get-together. If you wait two years, there's going to be just as many younger members as there are now.

That's true, but, by that time we'll also have more older, regular members.

We have older, regular members now. There are plenty of people over 18, if I remember correctly. It just seems like there are more of us young guys because we spend more time here, since we have more free time.

I'd be happy to meet any Australians out there. AKA 0.2849283% of the people here.

Actually according the H*R Wiki Forum Map, you aren't that far away from me. (The link to the map isn't working).
