While on the bus, a police car was speeding down the road with its alarm blaring. The bus stopped nearbye and I got off to walk home. As I was doing so, I happened to spot broken handcuffs on the sidewalk.

Hmm.

And then, as I was returning home, I noticed something that shouldn't be: My garage door was open. o_O

I turn the corner around a truck and spot movement-- person movement.

Oh! But don't fear-- it was my dad. *sigh*

Still kinda concerned about the other things, though.

Gah, this sorta "This is not a good sign" thing happen to anyone else? I'm sure it has. Entertain me.

Oh, man, that's uber-freaky. Lucky it was just your dad.

Occasionally I'll have moments like this when I'm home alone. Whenever my parents accidentally leave something in a weird spot, it freaks me out. But calm, rational thought eventually makes me calm again.

FYI, handcuffs--by which I mean real police-issue handcuffs--don't just "break." They can be broken, of course, but not easily, and, if the person wearing them is unassisted, only at very, very great difficulty, by which I mean it would require some big tools that could be operated by someone with their hands bound six inches apart behind their back (which probably rules out bolt cutters and blow torches). Considering that you saw them in the street (and not, say, in a machine shop), it's a fair bet that they were just toy handcuffs.

Looked pretty real to me, though it's not like I bent down and closely examined them. I hope they were just toys. =/

I would seriously report it to the cops. "Hey look, a big part in an FBI investigation that could maybe be a clue to a killers location! (taking it heavily of course) hey look, something else!"

I had a freaky moment yesterday. I was sitting in one of my schools computer lounges and an old "friend" of mine walked in. It was my Bully from Jr. High. This kid made my life a living Hell for 4 years. He sat 5 feet away from me and didn't recognize me. I figured he would remember me, but I am glad he didn't.

Yeah, but like what was said above, they might have been toy cuffs. I... really don't know. If I hear something on the news....

Nice "Uh oh" moments so far... if you can call them "nice". =B

I'm not sure I've had any others besides today, except for occasionally loosing my brother at a store. (But I'm good at finding people, so that doesn't usually last long.)

still, at least call and mention them...they could be toys, but if they arn't, this seriously isnt something you should blow off.

I always get freaked out by everything.

There's this thing in my bathroom where it's always banging. Guh. It's like someone's in there who isn't supposed to be. But it's just something with the pipes.

It scared me to death when I heard it and I was alone though.

Oh man, I know what you mean. Only it's the wind that blows against something and makes noises. Made me uneasy when I first started living in this house, but now I'm mostly used to it.

I agree, try to keep it in good taste, please.

I too, have heard strange noises in my house (the pipes). I've gotten used to it, though.

For some reason, I can only get freaked out in my house. I'm fine walking around in the woods at night and hanging out in suspicious places, but at my house even the slightest noise makes me worry.

I know how that is, too. I wander off while camping all the time, and go to random places I should probably have been apprehensive about. But I'm not. xD

Holy Crap!
Nice choice of words COLA.

I used to get all uppity at the slightest noise at night. I still get a little freaked out, but not as much as I used to.

This moment only took me a split-second to realize...

In chemistry class, when I'm done with my work, I sometimes like to go to the tall lab stations in the back and swing from them. I prop my arms up on the tables, lift myself up, and swing my feet. Well, one day, I put my backpack on before doing this. However, I failed to anticipate the effect that a 20-pound backpack would have on my center of gravity. I swung my feet forward...

Me thinking: Oh, SPAM.

I tipped over and fell flat on my back!

my house makes strange noises like footsteps and stuff.
and when i'm alone i get freaked out by mirrors ( yeah, dont even bother making a cruddy reflection joke) its the rando movements in the same room as me.
stuff in my house has an uncanny nack of falling down when i'm there. it is not only annoying, but quite gonnakillmeish.

Ha, y'know what I realized last night? My house really freaks me out. xD Not in the daytime, though. At night. And only when I'm the only one awake. Which is a lot. I've got two pet rats and a mouse that are pretty active at night, and when I hear a weird noise I like to convince myself it's them. :B
But I also start seeing things. Probably from a lack of sleep.

I remember a couple years ago I was in a chat with my friends from another forum, and it was getting really friggin' late-- I was the only one awake, too. But I really wanted to stay because I wasn't that tired, it was my birthday, and we were having fun. I started seeing things and hearing things, and at the time I didn't have my pets. I freaked out bad enough I got off the computer and went straight to bed. Dx

But one thing that happens quite often, no matter what the time of day-- sometimes I feel like someone's behind me, or entered the room, when there wasn't anyone there at all. Gah. It's so weird, and awkward. And not cool. >_<
