The game isn't over yet, and there have been a lot of big plays and questionable calls. What do you think the deciding factor in the game is or was?

Well, my family plays a game called Super Bowl squares, so far I've won a giant Hershey's bar and a giant box of Nerds.

It's a 10X10 grid, a group of people fill in an equal amount of squares, for example since there is 100 squares a group of five get 20 squares per person. Then the numbers 0-9 are written randomly once horizontally and once vertically on the side. After that either team is assigned the the vertical edge and the team left over is left with the horizontal edge. After each quarter the last digit from each team is taken and where the two scores meet is the winning square for that quarter, and whoever chose that square is the winner and receives a prize.

A bad explanation, I know.

Finally! A team I root for wins the Super Bowl.

I swear, each team I've rooted for in the last maybe eight Super Bowls has lost. I'm glad Pittsburgh finally won.

This Super Bowl is a good example of why the statement "They could call a hold on every play" was invented. I think those two or three holding calls against Seattle that wiped out big plays were a little suspiciously convenient.

Of course, the Steelers probably did deserve to win anyway, and Seattle's clock management brought back bad memories of last year when Donovan "got tired". Blah.

I kinda thought the same thing. Holding is like a foul in basketball, it's really hard to decide when you call it, because it COULD be called almost every play.

I am mad about the pass interference call that wiped out the first touchdown. There was as much contact from the defender as there was from the reciever.

Neither instance had any effect on the outcome of the play. If the contact was so obvious, it should have been flagged when it happened, not 3 seconds after the Touchdown was signalled...

Big Ben's touchdown that wasn't angered up my blood, too, as well as the other seahawks plays that were called back.

Oh well, like Coach DeRossett used to say, if you have to blame the refs because you lost, you don't deserve to win.

The holding call was definately the turning point in the Super Bowl. Seattle was on the ONE YARD LINE about to take the lead, and the guy held. But Seattle losing the Super Bowl wasn't his fault. They had so many other chances.

I enjoyed the Super Bowl. I wanted the Steelers to win and they did.

Did you see that Jerome Bettis basically retired on the trophy stand.

I can't say that I blame him. Is there a better way to go out than winning the Super Bowl in your hometown?

Better to go out on top than to retire after going 4-12 or so..

Hopefully Favre will get the chance to retire next year with another Lombardi trophy in hand.

Well, I think that the Seahawks shot themselves in the foot way too many times. Most of those calls were pretty obvious. I was right about the winner though.

Listening to Rick and Bubba this morning, I can't believe how many people are upset about the officiating last night. Some Steelers fans have called in saying they're mad because this win is going to have an * next to it.

Watching ESPN this morning kinda upset me because of the "offensive pass interference" call that wiped out the Seahawks' first TD. The ref that threw the flag signaled "touch down" first, THEN he threw the flag after the Steelers player turned around and complained. Granted, there was contact, but the ref didn't seem that upset with the contact that the Steelers player initiated right before that.

Of course, the Seahawks clock management at the end of the game was horrible (at best). I guess they gave up. With the deck stacked against them, who can blame them?

Anyway, yeah, I'm glad this didn't happen to the Packers.

It's sad this was so poorly called, it was nice to see a Super Bowl that wasn't over before halftime. Speaking of halftime, why does everyone seem so upset? I thought it was nice to see a show with no gimmicks, no "super secret guests", and no pop stars. Just straight up rock and roll. I liked it.

The main reason I didn't entirely want the Steeler's to win is because every jerk at my school won't let anyone else live this down for the rest of our freakin' lives...(yes, they are all Steeler fans.)

As I've said before, good game. That interception really was awesome.

I liked just having one band, not like 3 or 4 groups trading off (like that N Sync/Aerosmith/Britney/"anyone who wanted to be on stage" thing from a couple years back).

I like the Diet Pepsi commercial where they bring in the Diet Coke can to be the stunt double. That and GoDaddy.com, too bad the censored it.

Go Daddy was funny. Go to their site. The "uncensored" version isn't that much "racier".

I liked the one where they guy was like "what kind of song do you have if your girlfriend leave you?", the dude plays a song. "What kind of song do you have if <something else> happens?", man plays another song. "What do you listen to if your couch catches on fire?", Yakkity Sax (the Benny Hill song) plays and a cop and a guy in a straight jacket run in and they chase each other around the room.

That one, and the "streaker" Budweiser ad.

Well, at least the "N'Sync/Aerosmith/Britney" thing gave us a classic Lewis Black routine that's a quoting staple around my house, so for that I'm grateful.

Even though I didn't think the Stones' performance was that good, I enjoyed the idea of having one established and respected band/artist at halftime as well (much like Paul McCartney last year), and it's surprising given their history that there were no gimmicks involved. They should stick with that, and I bet a large percentage of the older fans will be satisfied.

I didn't think it was. Honestly, I think they cut it because it was stupid.

You see a lot of things that bad or worse if you watch WWF or any other tv show. You ever see those Girls Gone Wild commercials? They're way worse than the "uncensored" Go Daddy ad.

The point wasn't "if you want to see nekkidness, watch those", I was saying that, in the states, there are far worse commercials than the "banned" Go Daddy ad.
My guess it that they said the ad was "banned" just so more people would go to their site to check it out. People are bound to seek out what they've been told they can't see.

Haha, my friends all thought it was a porn site and I had to explain that it GoDaddy was just a webhosting place.
I was rooting for the Steelers so I'm happy, but it wasn't that exciting of a game.
