If you watch this video and pause it around the :58-:59 mark, there's one point where Roethlisberger is still in the air; in which he'd have to be holding the ball between his legs to not score a touchdown...

Why are we still debating this? It wouldn't have mattered. The Steelers would still have won 14-10. NOW SHUT THE HECK UP ABOUT THE FREAKING TOUCHDOWN!

Well, it wasn't so much that touchdown run that was questionable to me, since it was an inconclusive call and you're only supposed to overturn things when there's indisputable visual evidence, so I don't have that big a problem with it. What was suspicious to me, as I've said earlier, are those two or three convenient holding calls that contributed to Seattle getting into 3rd and long situations, especially the one that erased a gain up to the 2 yard line. If that last play had stood, the interception that erased the comeback and sealed the game may likely not have happened. I do think Seattle made way too many mistakes otherwise to really deserve a victory, though.

My thoughts: Sure, it was one touchdown, or two, but you have to remember that it's not just points that calls like that affect. They also affect the psyche of the players which, in turn, affects "momentum". Having the crowd in a game can be a big thing.

Of course, yea, Seattle did screw up a lot.

Even if the first attempt wasn't considered a touchdown, they probably would have went for it on 4th down and gotten a touchdown anyway.

I honestly don't think the crowd really helped the Steelers much... I mean, they had two false starts in the first few minutes of the game. Most reports that I've read credited it to the noise.

The crowd was definatley on the Steelers side, though. It was his home town, so they wanted him to win.
