The CNN.com news article All I can say is, "Wow!" When you think you've seen everything, there's more new animals to be found. I haven't really read too much in-depth with it yet, as I just heard a tiny bit about it 30 minutes ago. But, from the two pictures on that page, I must say those two birds are pretty cool. EDIT: And, after reading more in-depth with the article, there were 20 new species of frogs found, four new types of butterflies, and five new palm trees. Oh, and there's a tree kangaroo, too.
EDIT EDIT: Here are the two birds pictured on the page:

I think it's pretty awesome. I wish there were more untouched places like this. I bet there's a place like this in South America. Every team that goes to the Amazon discovers like 5 new species of butterfly or something, so I bet there's a secluded valley or plateu with dinosaurs or giant land manatees. |

I'm not surprised, scientists find new species almost every day. |

Yeah, but usually microbes or maybe insects. Not birds! That's a real once in a lifetime find. |

That second bird looks like a cool pet. Yeah, but then it'll escape to the New York sewer system, growing large on garbage and rats, until it emerges to consume human flesh! Now the only one who can stop it is mild-mannered biophysicist Hank Splingphy, who must overcome his neurotic mannerisms and finally confess his love to his high-school crush in order to come face to face with the mighty beast and defeat it in a stupidly-hokey kung-fu battle! Coming to theatres Summer 07! This has been a Uwe Boll production. |

But what I'm most psyched about is that they found a new monotreme!* That is officially the COOLEST thing ever. *Egg-laying mammal, formerly only two were known: The platypus and the echidna |

That article wrote: It found a rare tree kangaroo, previously unsighted in Indonesia. Beehler said the naturalists reckoned that there was likely to be a new species of kangaroo living higher altitudes.
