X-men 3

Looks to be an overloaded Brotherhood facing off against a reasonably large group of X-men. Not quite sure how this one will pan out. I don't like Psylocke and Multiple Man being villians, though it's pretty hard to do Multiple Man as a hero when he's so easy to do as a villian and henchmen in one.
There's a lot of rumours about who dies in this one, but I don't know. They have to do Sinister or Apocalpyse, and there's so much stuff besides that left to do. They can't kill off any of the main characters really.

Spider-man 3

There's a lot of ridiculous rumours Topher Grace is playing Electro, with no conformation. I don't know how I'd feel about an Electro and Sandman film. Both of them are very old-school style villians that most people don't know too well since they weren't in the Spider-man cartoon(at least not until near the end in Electro's case, and he was drastically altered).

I think the rumour is popular because of lot of snobby oldschool fans hate Venom and anything that's popular in the 90s and would do anything to force what they like and want onto the people who actually want Venom in the film, and the Venom fans who want him to get his own film. I don't know how it pans out. If they do Venom they need a villian for him to fight in the Black costume, so I guess that's where Sandman comes in. Though he does apparently have a wife, which means he might be more than a throwaawy villian.

Ant-Man

Just kidding ;) It is being made though.

I think Topher Grace is supposed to be Venom, not Electro.

Rated R. Starring Mel Gibson.

I gotta look this up if you're serious. xD

But, um, I'm looking forward to new X-Men and Spiderman movies. The ones that have been made-- I've enjoyed them.

When in doubt, consult Wikipedia.
This is Venom
This is Electro

I hope Gambit or Juggernuat appear in one of the X-Men movies soon, I;ve been waiting to see them since the first X-Men movie.

So what if they weren't (?) in the Dark Pheonix story arc? It could still happen!

As for Spiderman, Venom is teh Pwn. I could care less of Electro though.

Venom's way better than Electro. And I though Kirsten Dunst said Topher Grace was playing Venom...

Spiderman is way better than X-men, in my opinion.

Did you ever read the leaked portions of the screenplay on Aint-It-Cool? Yikes.

Exactly what I've been thinking. Gambit has to be one of the coolest characters out there. Cajun = pwn.

Those are so faked. I wouldn't trust anything much that isn't at least as solid as Church in a Sandman costume or Bryce Howard bleaching her hair.

Stand back for the Marvel Zombie's complaint: It's "Spider-Man", not "Spiderman", "SpiderMan", or "Spider Man" I just had to get that off my chest, don't mean take that the wrong way, it's just a peeve I have.

As for the movies, I'm ignoring any news or rumors, so I won't accidentally spoil the films for me like I did with the first Spider-Man...

I'd like to see a Spider-Man movie with The Lizard as a villain, but that's just me.

And X-Men, yes, I like Gambit. Time to charge de cards, eh?

I love the idea for x-men 3, cause the guy who played Frasier Crane is perfect 4 the Beast. And if Venom is involed, in spider-man, Comic Geeks will be screaming, (Not that I'm not a comic geek myself) will be screaming "Venom came AFTER the marriage you stupid Hollywood Directors!" Also, I hope Electro looks less tacky then he did in the comic.

Carnage isn't going to come around until the last movie.

I figured that it'd be a trilogy. Though Carnage would be really bad@$$.

I think Venom is someone else entirely. The guy's name is like Ed or something. I could be wrong though, COLA. Don't take my word for it. I know a lot more about Batman than Spiderman.

From the Wikipedia article:

While embroiled in a major crossover storyline fighting the Secret Wars on an alien planet, Spider-Man acquired an alien costume. It responded to his thoughts, was able to mimic street clothes and seemed to provide an inexhaustible supply of webbing. Unfortunately, once on Earth, Spider-Man learned that the costume was in fact a sentient Symbiote, that desired to fuse permanently with Spider-Man, and which enveloped him at night as he slept, using his unconscious body to go out and fight crime. With the aid of Mister Fantastic, Spider-Man managed to have the costume removed. The costume made one more attempt to bond itself to Spider-Man, but was forcibly rejected. Weakened by the rejection, the costume slithered away, presumably to die.

Meanwhile, reporter Eddie Brock had been penning a number of articles in The Daily Globe on the recent Sin-Eater case, a storyline that ran in Amazing Spider-Man’s sister title, The Spectacular Spider-Man. Following a false lead, he proceeded to write a series of columns identifying Emil Gregg as the perpetrator of the crimes. When Spider-Man caught the real criminal, policeman Stan Carter, Emil Gregg was discovered to be a compulsive confessor. The Globe became a laughing stock, and it fired Brock, who was shunned by his peers, and forced to write scathing celebrity exposes and alien abduction drivel for the scandal rags. Brock took up weight lifting in the hopes of reducing his stress, but was unsuccessful in alleviating his obsessive hatred of Spider-Man. Planning to kill himself, Eddie went to a church to apologize to God for not being strong enough to handle life. In that church, Eddie was found by the alien costume, which bonded itself to the failed reporter. The process left both, already emotionally unstable individuals, permanently damaged. Adopting the name Venom in reference to the tawdry stories he was forced to write after falling from grace as a reporter, the new symbiotic pair decided to take their revenge on Spider-Man.

so then, the suit was a battle suit on an alien planet, but became a lifeforce here on earth and bonded with some guy named ed?

i wonder how theyre gonna work all of that into the movie.

They wouldn't. Hollywood would dumb it down somehow for the non-Marvel going public. I haven't heard anything of Venom showing up this time around and its been the big rumor that he'd be a character since the first movie. Best to wait for the facts to come in.

I'm still up in the air on X-men 3. I think it was dealt a fair blow with Bryan Singer leaving the franchise. Kelsey Grammer as Beast is a brilliant move though.

Wasn't the suit itself an alien that just needed a host to live or something?

Heh. You know how Curt Connors, who appears in the second movie, is really the Lizard blah de blah? I informed my dad of this right after we saw it, and now he's 100% certain that the third Spider-Man movie will be about the Lizard. Thinks that they can't hold that back for too long. Sheesh.

Carnage isn't going to show up until Venom has at least starred in one movie. The little timeline bit goes something like this:

    1. Spider-Man picks up the symbiotic suit on another planet. It's that black one you see every now and then.
    2. He realizes that the suit is a bad thing, and rids himself of it. It stays in a bell tower for a while.
    3. A criminal, Eddie Brock (I think...) goes up to the bell tower and combines with the suit. Only instead of wearing it, like Spider-Man, he actually becomes one with it.
    4. Adventures ensue.
    5. At one point, Eddie Brock, sans suit, is in a high-security prison, sharing a cell with a serial killer. When the suit comes to break him out, a little piece of it is left behind.
    6. This little piece combines with the serial killer, to become Carnage. He goes off killing and such. Spider-Man and Venom join forces.
FUN TIMES.
