I'd like to see a Spider-Man movie with The Lizard as a villain, but that's just me.

Heh. You know how Curt Connors, who appears in the second movie, is really the Lizard blah de blah? I informed my dad of this right after we saw it, and now he's 100% certain that the third Spider-Man movie will be about the Lizard. Thinks that they can't hold that back for too long. Sheesh.

Yeah, I knew that. That's why I thought the Lizard would be the villain too, but they signed Thomas Haden Church, and it's basically confirmed he'll be playing the Sandman.

Oh well. Maybe Spider-Man 4.

Lucky me, TOTPD.

That was a good game, IMHO.

Spiderman and Venom Join Forces???? dang it! i need the comics that depicts that timeline, give us those numbers tef!

What I remember from way back when is the Maximum Carnage storyline that started with Spider-Man and then crossed over into a half-dozen other comics into a 13 or 14 part mess. Basically it had Spider-man and Venom team up to stop Carnage from going on a rampage, and not the lyrical kind. I can't remember what comics or issues the story took place in, it was back in the early '90's. No doubt Marvel collected the issues and sold it in a single volume as they often do.

Anyway, closer to the topic at hand. I also heard of Thomas Hayden Church being the Sandman was a certainty. I don't know why, but it sounds like a good choice to me.

Wait, I'm not Tef!!! -Krazed Squirell

I'm looking forward to the new Spider-Man movie, actually... the Sandman and Venom were two of my favorite villains from the comic book, and it'll be great to see them in movie form. Although I hope the Sandman doesn't wear the costume from the mid-100s issues... man, that thing is ridiculous.

The only bad guy I don't want to show up is the Vulture. I'm not sure why, exactly, but I hated him. Freakin' annoying.

Heh, Old Guy + Bird Suit= Fun times.

I'm more focused on X-Men 3 right now since it'll be the first of the two released. I dunno why, but I just have a bad feeling about this one.

So sayeth the man who wrote off 'The Lord of The Rings' when he heard it was going to be directed by the guy that did 'Meet the Feebles' -Krazed Squirell

Okay, just so I can get this out the way. This, the last roadblock between newbdom and being an actual forum member. I have two questions.

First: what does TOTPD mean?

And second: on a related note, what does toast paint mean? I have been unable to glean its meaning from context and must now resort to more drastic measures.

TOTPD means Top Of The Page Dance.
Toastpaint in a phrase coined by IJ which means to get back on topic.
now ToastPaint.

TOTPD = Top of the page dance (usually involves dancing emoticons or gifs)

Toastpaint = a nonsequetorial comment that basically means, "This thread has gotten way off. Let's get back on topic, please."

Now he tells me. I could have been doing TOTPDs a couple times. Thank you for clearing things up!
