Who are you listening to lately?

I'm all over Wolfmother (not sure if they're big in the States yet) lately. I'm also listening to a lot of Free and Hendrix.

this seems like the same thing as "What are you listening to now?" because in most, practically all, posts say who the artist or person is that they are listening to.

No, it's different, it's like a general view of the past few weeks, not the past hour.
I am still listening to the Beatles.

so thsi is like a "Whos your favorite Musichan/band?" type thread?

Author:  Occasional JD [ Sun Feb 12, 2006 11:26 am ]
Post subject:

Yeah, I 'spose it's kinda like that. But not even favourite, like who do you listen to a lot of.

Post subject:

thats the same thing as favorite...unless you go around hearing a bunch of the same band for no apparent reason, just like that eppisode of garfield where they kept running into the one movie that they dont want to see.

My tip is Wolfmother.
If you're a fan of old-style/progressive rock (think Pink Floyd), this is for you.
Get onto iTunes or some other download site (legal, of course!) and search away.

Recommend - Woman and Mind's Eye.

Kaizer's Orchestra, who is appearantly Norways foremost rock band. Being a american (of which I am sorry, by the way), I have no idea what they are signing, but the music is really, really good. Kind of demented circus music meets rock.

  • Chuck Berry
  • Coldplay
  • Creed
  • Del Amitri
  • Devo
  • Don McLean
  • Eagle-Eye Cherry
  • Fall Out Boy
  • Flogging Molly
  • Fort Minor
  • Franz Ferdinand
  • Good Charlotte
  • Gorillaz
  • Great Big Sea
  • Green Day
  • James Taylor
  • Jason Mraz
  • The Killers
  • Lemon Demon
  • Lifehouse
  • Madness
  • Nickelback
  • Queen
  • R.E.M.
  • The Refreshments
  • Salsa Commodity
  • Santana
  • The Skate Party
  • Smash Mouth
  • Stan Ridgway
  • They Might Be Giants
  • Uncle Kracker
  • Vertical Horizon

  • And, of course, Strong Bad Sings
...

So yeah, that's pretty much all the artists in my iTunes library. But, um, considering that's what I've been listening to...

Mostly TMBG (248 songs and counting) and today I just bought the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack from iTunes, which has 4.5 hours worth of 85 tracks.

So I'm pretty set as far as music goes.

Ah. You beat me. I only have 218. But I only have the ones I like. Which is pretty much all of them. Libraries are awesome.

For me is TMBG. They are seriously the ONLY thing I listen to.

Oh. Awesome avy, JTTC, by the way.

Well, that's counting State Songs, but since This Might Be A Wiki considers those to be TMBG songs, so do I.

Without it, I have 232 songs.

And yes, I like this avatar, thank you.
