favorite games/series!

Have a favorite game/series of games? post it here and maybe a link to a movie of it, if you have one. My favorite series? Zelda games I own all except 2, and I've beaten all of the ones I own except for the adventures of link II.

And trust me, Revolution isnt as bad as you think it is, good graphics, you can download games from N64, SNES, NES, for a dollar from your system, and the new controller. I give it 8/10 for next gen systems.

I said XBox 360 for a couple reasons. One, is that my brother has an XBox, and it's the console (other than a PC) that I'm most used to for gaming, so there's a familiarity factor there.

Secondly, Nintendo's biggest weakness is that their target audience is too small. They SERIOUSLY need to widen their scope, as there are just as many (if not more) older teens and young adults that are heavily into gaming as there are little kids, and Nintendo gears pretty much all their games towards younger kids. As much as I LOVE the Zelda series, I refuse to dish out hundreds of dollars on a console to play a single game. Forget that--I'll just download an emulator or something. So, yeah...that's my beef with Nintendo.

I agree, Nintendo's games are all little kid games... The only one that is strangley rated by Nintendo is The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time, I mean there's blood and violence in that game and its rated E? :eek:

EDIT: You do know u can get the new Zelda for Gamecube (although it will have worse graphics)

That was before ESRB used blood in their ratings. They've always used violence, though.

never knew that... and I looked at ESRB ratings and was amazed to see that some game (I have no clue which one) could have the rating:
Real Gambling - Player can gamble, including betting or wagering real cash or currency
How in the heck do you do that on a video game, even if it IS online?!?!

I too am a bog fan of the classic Nintendo games, like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc. Though I love Final Fantasy as well.

I have three favorite games, and two of them are Zelda games, so I suppose that means Zelda is my favorite series.

Zelda is grand. Majora's Mask is currently my favorite title. But I consider Metroid to be just a 1/1000 hair better.

But my favorite series must go to Earthbound and Myst.

I said Revolution, although I may buy an Xbox or PS3 if they're cheap/good enough.

Even though this has ABP'd, I'd say I'm really looking forward to the Revolution. With Nintendo trying to stay on the edge of innovation, it's sure to be a good system.

There's a lot more to Nintendo than just Zelda, y'know, even though Zelda is my favorite series ever. Revolution is going to pwn, just you wait. But a good gamer knows no system limits, unless, of course, you don't own that system. All systems have good games. All systems have great games, in fact. Fantastic and legendary ones. Everything from Marble Madness to Halo.

Anyway, my favorite series ever: Zelda is in the lead, Metroid is a close second, Katamari Damacy and Kirby war for third, Pokèmon and Monster Rancher battle for fourth...

Weird: I just noticed that fully half those series have at least one pinball spin-off. I don't know what that says, but it kinda creeps me out, whatever it is.

Revolution is supposed to be a "cheap next gen system," by nintendo's term, they said cheaper then XBox 360 and PS3.

(The reason I gave the 360 an 8/10 is because of its games, yes, Halo is good, but the rest are all war/racing games, two types that I am not particularly fond of...) Tell me if I'm wrong, 'cuz the only games NOT war/racing for 360 are Peter Jackson's King Kong, well, that's all I can think of.

Really? You don't like racing games? That's a shame; racing games are a lot of fun IMO. But to each their own...

Ya I don't like racing games... Only racing game I played and liked was Burnout and Burnout 2... But, I never actually bought them, not good enough XD... Can't wait till this weekend, gonna buy Soul Calibur III

Ninetendo was the first videogame company I knew about, first playign it when I was four (I tried Mario Kart. i wasn't too good). So Ninetendo will always be my favorite videgame company, and mario one of my favorite, if not my favorite, series.

I also like Banjo-Kazooie, that's another great one. Selda is alsogood, but not my favorite. Orcaria of Time is probably my favorite in the Xelda series

(As you can see, I like cartoon-type 3D adventure games. Probably because the second game I ever played was Super Mario 64)

So, as you can probably tell, I'll be getting the revolution.

All of the elder scrolls games kick [explicit deleted]. Well, actually I've only ever played Morrowind, but I'm sure Oblivion will be awesome. And the first 2 were probably good too. Or Zelda. Especially the Game Boy ones.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan, so Revolution. My favorite series of games? The Legend of Zelda. It's the pwningest series alive today.

...Insomniac's next game. It's an FPS that's sort of a mix of Medal of Honor and Half-Life.

Well, RE's not a Nintendo-owned franchise. Hence RE4 on the PS2.

Though I must agree, Revolution all the way. I mean, XBox 360 has limited backwards compatibility; the Revolution has complete and utter backwards compatibility. And Sony has been positively "Meh" for years...

Well I have a challenge for anyone who plays Zelda games that I'm currently working on, here it goes:
You must beat the game without getting ANY HEART CONTAINERS OR 4 PEICES OF HEART. Sooooooooooooooo, you beat the game with 3 hearts.
Also, you can't use any faries, you cant use Epona (Ocarina of time), you can't get an upgraded sword, you can't get ice or fire arrows (Ocarina of time), can't get a bigger quiver, can't get farfores wind (Ocarina of time), can't get a larger magic bar,you can't get songs you don't need or a larger bomb bag/deku nut holder bag.

So far I've done this on Ocarina of time and I'm at the Spirit Temple :-D
