This game looks beautiful. This game sounds beautiful. And my gosh, what more could you ask for in gameplay? If it weren't for this game, I would never have gotten into the majesty that is Zelda. It's also one of only three video games that holds the distinction of making me cry. Man, seeing Link and Saria part ways on the bridge... TELL me that didn't wrench your heart straight outta your chest! I think the part at the end (right before you fight Ganon) is more heart wrenching, when Zelda and Link just stare at eachother.
Dang it all I forgot my hundredth post. Well, happy 102nd post... myself, oh and can you tell? I expand on ANYTHING about Zelda? Umm yea.... toastpaint... |

Well, happy 102nd post... myself, oh and can you tell? I expand on ANYTHING about Zelda? Umm yea.... toastpaint... I'm going to argue this one. Yeah, it was touching, but Zelda and Link haven't really known each other all that long or that well compared to Link and Saria, who were best friends, and it's pretty obvious from both Saria herself and other NPC's (Mido especially) that Saria really has it bad for Link. Probably why when I fanfic, I'm nice to her and let her get growed up because she DESERVES Link, dangit.
In case your wondering about the other two games... one of the others was a Zelda as well. Paula being reuninted with her father got me pretty bad as well. The other wasn't a Zelda game, and saying what happened would actually be a spoiler, so I'm not going to (Though I have mentioned it elsewhere on this forum, so if you're enterprising, you could dig it up).
...Wow. That was ramblin'. |

Kingdom Hearts I know the words to "Simple and Clean" practically by heart. Does that make me a bad person? Oh well. No matter, because this game is TEH BOMB YO. 3. Monster Rancher 4 I LIKE MONSTER RANCHER KAY BE QUIET. |

I totally agree. I don't know why I didn't put it up on my top three. Maybe because I didn't beat the game. My cousin beat Ansem, because for some reason I couldn't. Whatever, I love Simple and Clean! One of my most favorite songs (although it may not be considered a song). can't wait for the kh2!

I played and won Kingdom hearts. And I feel as though 40 hours where sucked from me. The game could have had pontential if the story wasn't so thrown together and simplistic, if there where more Final Fantasy refrences and less disney refrences, and if the level design wasn't so horrific. I rate it as number one overrated game of all time. But I do have a few PS2 games that I love: We Love Katamari Katamari Damacy Shadow of the Colossus ICO |

![]() If it makes you feel better, I wasn't going to list anything post 1996 (this being the year that the Playstation launched and the year that I stopped keeping up with modern games) Uh, let's see... 1 - Jet Set Willy II (C64) - - - basically an expanded version of JSW1 (an off-beat platform game in which Willy, a miner turned millionaire, must clean up his junk-strewn mansion or his exasperated cleaner Maria won't let him go to bed) rather than a genuine sequel. This originally came out on the ZX Spectrum, and there's a significant fan-community still creating edited versions of JSW1 and its prequel Manic Miner on that system today. However, I first encountered it through this game, on the C64, so for me that's the definitive game 2 - Sonic 1 through S3NK (Genesis) - - - All the early Sonic games were awesome in my opinion. Shame they killed it for me when they went to 3D. If the Playstation was the system where I lost touch with modern games, the Dreamcast was the point where I decisively slammed the door shut Hmm, I should have a non-platformer in here... 3 - Katakis (Amiga) - - - I could probably fill my top twenty with platformers if I tried, but here's a classy shoot-'em-up from Factor 5, the geniuses (mainly Manfred Trenz) who also gave us Turrican 1 and 2. It's basically a variant on R-Type, but again I knew it long before I knew the original and, as such, is the definitive version for me I don't think I've told this story here - I've told it on a dozen other forums, I know that - but when I was a kid I used to love watching my brother playing videogames. I thought it was better than any cinema. Then I spent a lot of time dedicated to playing games myself (which probably accounts for my slack social skills), then as my interest in playing them waned I've found myself going back to the old tradition of watching other people play them. Given the increasingly cinematic nature of modern games like Silent Hill, I imagine this is oddly fitting |
