Zoe, I think. If I ever have kids, I'd name a boy Xavier, Phillip, or Zack. But a girl I'd name Amanda or Jacqueline. Now that's a cute name if there ever was one. |

I would name my kid Matt for a boy and... Elise for a girl. ELISE IS THE BEST NAME EVER. Even though I know a girl named Elise who doesn't have a very good personality, I've always liked that name. I used to go on this Star Wars Forum made up mostly of 30 year olds who live with their mom and negectant husbands, and their all naming their kids: George Lucas Anikan Leia Padme Han Oh and my personal favorite...CHEWBACCA!!!!!! F'N CHEWBACCA!!!???? WTF IS YOU GUY'S PROBLEMS!!!!??? GET A LIFE!!!!! Funk chewbacca??!! |

I've always kinda liked the whole guy-names for girls thing. Which means I'll likely end up naming one of mine Alexandria, Christine, or Jacqueline. (Alex, Chris, and Jackie, fools.) |

I've made a promise to my father that if I ever had a son I'd name him Thomas III. That doesn't mean I'll keep my promise.
And for a girl, either Samantha or Amy. |

I just thought that today I'd like to name my first daughter Tabitha. Because I also intend to give my first daughter the middle name Kathleen, after my mother. Tabby Kat. That's just ridiculously cute, no? |

I like the name Raphael, but I'd never wish that name on anyone, unless they were French, in which case it'd be a bit more appropriate. I just think it sounds cool. |

I'd like something exotic. Like one never used. Corsiva for a girl, and Axel for a guy. Or maybe Moon-unit. Like what Frank Zappa did. |

I earlier stated that a name like Maximillian would be cool, but I thought of something cooler: having a middle name that starts with Q, like Quincy. Doesn't Maximillian Q. <insert long last name> sound like an awesome name? Like a bank manager or a venture capitalist? |

One of my friends had a roommate whose name was pronounced "shi - theed", but spelled in the much more pedestrian "Sh*thead." I swear this was actually her name. Either her parents didn't want to have a kid, didn't think that name through all the way, or were illiterate. Internal quibbling about censoring the name... it's really her name, but it definately looks vulgar. Oh and a little more background, that girl was a student at BYU. |

I think I'd want to give my kids Polish or Welsh names, despite the fact that I am neither Polish nor Welsh in any kind of significant capacity. Of course, naming a son 'Bialas' is just asking for it. Especially when he takes an interest in etymology and finds out that the name means 'white-haired.' But 'Ceridwen' for a girl isn't that bad, and I'm not sure but I think she would be able to get away with nicknaming herself Sherry for a while. Until she happened to make a Welsh friend. The name means 'poetic goddess', though, so if she ever happened to get a particularly clever boyfriend he could do some really sweet things for her. There's also the Romanian name Iulian (i u l i a n) ...I think it's an interesting name and it means 'youthful', so it might be a passable name for a son... |

Skimming a few name sites, I've seen a few more names that I really like--for girls, I've unearthed Artemis and Ireland, and for boys, I've decided that I really like the name Lincoln. Word of warning, though, Teff: Don't be so sure that you'll be getting an Alex if you name your daughter Alexandria. My parents thought they were, but I made it painfully clear to them when I was 2 that I was Ally and not Alex. I was sassy as a toddler... |

You might also end up with a Lexy. |

Ah, good advice. Although honestly, I like the name Ally too. I also like Lexie, although it would always remind me of my grandparents' dog.

"Well, the boy's name is StrongRad, and the girl's name is Shippinator Mandy." Roffle! (Thought: Naming your kids after Internet acronyms. "These are Loll, Ohmig, and Wutiff." Actually, those sound more like generic fantasy names... hmm...) (Which reminds me of something my Dad brought up. I was telling him how a character is my book has the made-up [but still real-sounding, I'd like to hope] name of Cantella. He thought there was potentially a great Who's-On-First style skit there: "What's your name?" "Cantella." "Why not?") (Wow, this is a long parenthetical.) |

Well, I've always wanted to have twins, a boy and a girl. If I don't, I'll just keep eating my kids until I get a pair. Anyways, I would name the boy Zachary (Zach) and the girl Selena. |
