Knox would be a cool name. But I assume you meant Hudson? 'Cause Hudsom sounds like a short guy with constant nasal congestion.

Maybe I should name my kids after you guys.
"Well, the boy's name is StrongRad, and the girl's name is Shippinator Mandy."

You'd name her after me? That's sweet. :)

My mom thinks "Rya Sinead" sounds nice, and it does. ("Sinead" is pronounced "Shi-NAYD", for those of you who don't know.) I also like "Rya Siobhan" ("Shi-BAHN").

The problem is, I don't give my fictional characters names I'd necessarily want to give my children. >P My "Alpha Character" is named Posie Cassandra Blade, which is really not the sort of name I'd bestow on my offspring. Nor are *looks at other main characters she's created* Elaine, Naomi, Joseph, Athena, Ran, Apollo...

*3 hours later...*

...Or Tannefeurs.

Heh. I'd say I'm half between giving my characters horrible names (Dorothy) and awesome names (Aridelen). Aridelen is actually kinda a nice name, but I know nicer ones.

Hey, I have a character named Ran XD She's an Irken *Zim obsessed*

Yeah, my characters never have names I would name like ... offsrping, except for MAYBE Pyro. His real name is Erik, and I like the name Erik.

I noticed that. XD Mine's a boring old human, but a magical boring old human! XD My Irkens are named Oceana, Taki, and Gimo, none of which I would bestow on a poor unsuspecting human child, 'cuz they're all nuts! :P

Erik is a cool name. I like it because it's both classical and modern at once. Actually, it's kind of a cool indie-rocker name! XD

Post subject:  Yes. It is.

I just remembered today that somewhere I'd seen the name Olive for a girl.

So, therefore, my second daughter is going to be named Olive Valerie.

Seriously, Olive. Isn't that the best name ever?

I had a prof who named his daughter Olive Oyl. No, I am not kidding. Olive is a fine name, but actually naming your poor daughter after Popeye's anorexic girlfriend? I don't care if you've got an unhealthy obsession with a 1930s cartoon (after all, I've got an unhealthy obsession with an Internet cartoon), but don't inflict your neuroses upon your children, jerkface.

(Just so we're clear, MR, the afforementioned prof is the jerkface, not you. I'm cool with you naming your kid Olive as long as a) it's a girl, and b) you skip the Oyl. :D

It's a nice name, but for me it brings back bad memories of our psychopathic calico cat who meows at nothing the way dogs bark at shadows...

Mipu so when the teacher is calling attendance, he/she'll say:
"Mipu. Where's Mipu?"
"In the toilet!"

actually probably Teddy, so all the girls/guys can say "I wanna sleep with that Teddy!"

Snort.

Maurice, is a cool name. But my sister plans on using it. Ah well.
I shall have to go with Frederick. Um... for my... cat, because I would be a terrible mother.

My sister was at one point seriously considering naming her children after flowers. Chrysanthemum? I mean, several interesting nicknames can be derived from that, like Chrys, Rys (reese), and Anthem. I think it'd be cool to have Anthem for a nickname. o.o Or a legal name, even. Imagine signing everything with 'Anthem Insertlastnamehere'...

If I should become completely deranged prior to having kids, I think I'll end up consulting an atlas rather than a book/website of names when I go to name them. "Anaheim! Moscow! Verona! Get down off that smokestack and eat your The Chekt!"

I think I could get away with Anaheim and Verona. O-o; Annie and Ronnie :3

Jumping back to characters, I created a character named Imogene (which is a girl's name), and her nickname ended up being Jimmy. Which made me think: "Jimmy is actually a pretty rad nickname for a girl!"

You know what other name has the possiblity for a sweet nickname? Bruno. A possible nickname could be Rune. Man, THAT'D be a cool nickname.
