Maybe I'm making this thread too early, but who do you think will win the NCAA Tournament? I think that UConn and Villanaova have good chances, and I think that Duke will choke in the postseason like always. But that maybe because I'm a Kentucky fan and I hate Duke. |

Never too early Kevin, never too early. I dunno, Duke I don't think will do so bad. |

I like Nova. I like their unorthodox style of having four guards and a center. They were the best team in the Big East, and if it hadn't been for the officals playing favorites to UConn, Nova's record would prove it. They are my pick to win this year. I think UConn is overrated. They are too inconsistant. Today's game against Syracuse showed how easily they can be thrown off of their game. SU controlled the game from the opening tip. The only reason that the Huskies came close was because they got on one of their trademark runs. UConn will go to the Sweet 16 and then bow out. Duke will only go as far a Redick can carry them. Duke Can win the first and second rounds but if Redick doesn;t show up in the Sweet Sixteen, they are done. There are two dark horses to watch out for, UNC and Memphis. UNC is playing like the defending national champs right now and are smoking hot. They went 12-4 in the ACC and have won 7 in a row including a win over Duke at Cameron. Roy Williams has done an outstanding job with that was mugged by the NBA Draft. Look for them to snag a 2 or a 3 seed in the tournament. Memphis will be a #1 seed. Eventhough their conference was weak, they did play the 4th best non-conference schedule, in which they went 14-2. I think they are a safe bet for the Elite Eight. Those are my picks. |

I'm not sure who will win, seeing as I only casually watch college basketball, but I'm probably pulling for Villanova. |

No idea...all I know is that my school just lost last night to NorthWestern Louisiana (who have only lost one game this entire season anyway). I was there, as I play in the Pep Band--and it's nice to walk away knowing that even though we didn't score as many points in the game, our Pep Band totally outplayed the other team's Pep Band. But then, our school has held a long-standing reputation for how kick-butt our Pep Band is... |

Hey hey, we played Northwestern St. earlier this year in the BracketBusters. USU beat San Jose last night, and will be playing Louisiana Tech tonight at 6:00 pacific time. We swept them this year (though they are very good, #3 seed) so I think we will beat them. Nevada should beat New Mexico St. and hopefully USU will have a showdown with Nevada for the WAC championship. We split the regular season, (USU won in Nevada, Nevada won at USU) so I think we have a good chance. Nevada will be a tough team to beat, though. |

If Syracuse doesn't make the NCAA tournament after what Gerry McNamara and the rest of the team has done, something is seriously wrong with the selection committee. |

I'm pretty confident Western Kentucky is out of the running now. They lost by 25 to South Alabama in the Sun Belt final Tuesday night. Had we kept it closer, we woulda had a chance for an at large bid. What makes it suck more is that I work with several South Alabama alums. John Pelphrey, I don't like you anymore. |

SU is a solid lock. When you beat the #1 team in the nation it kind of sends a message that you desreve to be in the tournament. If SU beats Pitt tonight, then look for them to get a 4 or a 5 seed, if they lose look for them to be a 6 seed.

But yeah, beating a top 10, a number 1, and a number 23 usually help. |

I just checked ESPN.com. Joe Lunardi thinks that they will be a #9 seed and he thinks that they will play...Kentucky. See this page. These are subject to change, though. |

That is going to change big time. Syracuse will not be a 9 seed. If they win the Big East they will be a 5 seed, no doubt.

Duke just squeezed one out over Boston College, so they will likely be the number 1 seed overall. BOO!!! |

Big whoop. That number 1 seed Kentucky had did them a lot of good against UAB a couple years back. People place too much emphasis on seedings. Number 1,2,3,4,etc., you still have to win the same number of games. |

Looking at this bracket, I see a lot of chances for an 11 or 12 seed to make it through the first round. Perhaps, even a 13 seed will make it through. Either way, I see at least one or two teams messing up everyone's brackets. As insurance against that, I have Duke losing in the second round on one bracket.

I'm gonna go ahead and take a crazy, insane guess at the Final Four: Duke Gonzaga North Carolina Boston College Gonzaga and North Carolina will play in the championship, and Gonzaga will win. But besides that, go Arkansas Razorbacks! Yeah! |

ESPN has a bracket challenge thing that you can use to automagically fill in brackets as a kind of competition thing. Register here and fill out a bracket. And yes, registration is annoying, sorry. But if you want in, it's the only way. Make sure you uncheck all the checkboxes. I've created a group that you can join for the hrwiki forum. So when it asks if you want to join a group, search for "hrwiki_forum" as the group name and "strong_bad" as the password. This will keep all of our guesses in one place, and it will give us points based on how accurate it is as the games progress. |

Well my bracket was wrong after the first game (darn you wis-mil!) and Pacific is about to mess it up further. I can't believe that Pacific has taken BC to double overtime. |

If Gonzaga loses, I'm gonna go to Adam Morrison's house and I will cut him. How can a possible Player of the Year candidate lose in the first round? |
