Anyone else see this? It was just about the coolest thing I've seen on tv ever. I liked the space beetle gut and the smoke gun guy...Escpecially with the dog...thing...

And dang, I can't belive that guy sold his house for that shovel thing...

Umm...you could start by telling us what channel it was on, and at what time(s).

EDIT: Never mind--I found it.

It was on ABC, from 8 to 10 PM EST tonight, so it just ended.

I saw it... it was meh. That space beetle guy and the guitar guy seemed totally scripted... and that kid bugged the heck out of me. I can't see it being that great a show... but I'll probably watch it anyway. :p

Just watched it. So many laughs. Makes me want to work on my invention.

I missed it? Awww. It sounded like the coolest TV show ever, where people who actually deserve to be on TV get their chance, instead of some air-head singers.

But you're not an American. If you did it, it's be Canadian Inventor, in Canada.

:p

Terrible HORRIBLE show. I LOVE the idea of looking for the next big invention, but it focuses too much on the "Sacrifice" and the "American Dream" When that one dude came on with the GREAT idea of those "Lock" weights, but he started to get all emotional, then that damn girl started to cry. Give me a break, I do not care how much sacrifice someone has behind an invention. Great idea, but of COURSE ABC had to make it all emotional and really lame. Discovery Channel would have been a better channel, and not some damn emotional "feel good" channel.

Oooookay then burninator. Easy on the vocabulary. That was kinda harsh.

I looove it. It's such a fun show.

And it made me laugh uncontrollably. The Wizard of Oz skit. After they got picked, the Dorothy and Scarecrow were all 'YAAAY' and the tree was like ' ... :|' and that just CRACKED. ME. UP. For reasons I cannot or will not explain.

But the inventions were cool. I would totally buy the edible snowglobes XD

I'm sort of vaguely interested, despite the involvement of Simon whatshisface, but I can't find the episode in any of the Usual Places.

However, Make has a nice recap with lotsa photos.

I dunno, I turned it off after a while. It’s pretty much American Idol only with a ridiculous premise in the wrong format (I agree with Burnination! on that one), to much ‘inspirational’ crap, and judges trying too hard to be rude.

It’ll probably be a hit. -KS

Stiil, great idea, though. Reality TV on reality TV channels makes everything lame, but this would totally be a good idea. And two guys from my town are in it with a board game they created inspired by that hologame from the original Star Wars. XD

I just heard about it in Wired magazine. I want to see it. But most likely my stupid brothers and sister will watch something stupid on Discovery Kids instead.

According to the interview I saw with 'em on the local news, they described it as "Chess on Steroids."

If I went on, me and my friend Glenn would probably go with Acolyte, the TCG we invented.
