Okay, so we have the FBofDog thread already, and cats have been mentioned...so for us cat people, I pose the parallel question: What (if any) is your favorite breed of cat?

Mine is Russian Blue, because I've had Russian Blues before and I really grew attatched to them...and they don't look half-bad, either. ;)

I have two cats. Ones a loon, and one's just lazy. Do those count as breeds?

Ragdolls.
They are cute as heck, they're champaigne coloured and are very friendly.

Th' ones with fur. =3 I'm not picky. Although I like just normal ones, I suppose. American Shorthairs.

Agreed. My old roomate had a Maine Coon that liked to ambush people by jumping from bookcases and stuff. Somtimes it got dangerous.

But it was always fun to watch. -KS

I currently own an All American breed.

AKA the mutt.

But she's MOSTLY tabby, which is why I picked her out from the pound. I adore tabby cats. Especially the grey ones ^^

Though I have a cute black cat called Ebony, I do have my favourite breeds.

1. Maine Coon. They're, like, miniature lions with floofy tails and a smile. ^_^

2. Bengal. Leopard spots. Totally awesome.

3. Burmilla. Spectacularly adorable. Do animals get any cuter than tiny, fluffy Burmese cats? :)

Maine Coon all the way. I want one, when I get my own cat.

Although...I'm getting my own cat in May (first time!), and I doubt it's going to be a Maine Coon. I'm going to go to the Humane Society. I doubt they have Maine Coons there.

Wait, isn't there another cat there? Then you have two cats, and it was playing with another cat.

Whoa, you, your cats, your room, you rule.

No, I got pictures of him on both sides of the board, then spliced them via TheGimp.

This is my kitty, Phoebe. She's a farm cat, I found her wandering outside when she was a kitten.

I'm partial to fluffy cats. I don't like shorthairs.

I love cats. Sadly, I'm highly allergic and can't be around them for any extended length of time or else I break out into hives.

However, one of my friends has a Himalayan (kinda like an ultra-fluffy siamese). He is sooooo soft and cuddly and mellow enough that just about anyone can toss him around, pick on him, wrestle with him. He always comes back for more.

That's basically my problem. Only replace hives with constant sneezing, rash, and eventual inability to breathe. However, when I was living with my roomamtes, their Maine Coon didn't give me any trouble whatsoever. Not that i was complaining.

Persians are nice. They have awesome fur. I used to have a Russian-Blue/Siamese mix, but then my brother became allergic, and we had to get rid of it... :((
