Woo. Got it. I could write paragraphs on why it's so much better then Morrowind. But I'd rather go back to play it. Although, there is a WTF almighty within the first few hours. Man, somtimes those Bethesda DO NOT know what their doing. Spoilers below. So, Awhile into the game your with some guards that are defending the king. And you reach a door that's locked, so you search until you find an alternate passage. But, it's a dead end, the assassains find you and kill the king. Then the guards are all like "BLAH BLAH OMFG KING DEAD YOU TEH SAVE THE WORLD HAVE THIS KEY TO GET OUT OF HERE." And they find a way around the gate and give you a key for who knows what. But...I found that the key, in addition to opening some future door that key ALSO opens up that gate that you just weren't able to get through. ...So, either A. The guards were working with the assassains or more likely B.Stupid shortsightedness on the developers part. |

I'm getting it tommorow. We're on vacation now, but when we get back. Oh man! And I have this and next week off for spring break, so that's all that I'll be doing. And extremejon09, I'd use Quote: white quotes instead of just yellow letters to hide spoilers.

Oblivion sounds pretty awesome. I'd buy it, but I'm restricting myself to one game purchase a month, and since I already made one recently, I will wait until April. |

Ok, now for a breif list of improvments over Morrowind: -Block ability makes a World of difference to combat -WAY less visible dice rolls. Never once have I had a weapon hit and enemy and "miss", and never have I "Failed casting" a spell. -Persuasion and lockpicking replaced with mini-games! -Spellcasting no longer completly useless! Now you don't have to unequip your weapon to cast a spell! -A arrow on your compass points you toward the destination of your currently "Equipped" quest. -Gravity and Ragdolls! It's so awesome when you deliver the final blow to a human enemy he goes FLYING in the direction of your swing. Also, I've found an effective stealing technique is to hit a valuble item with an arrow into a dark corner where people won't see you pick it up! -Every Character has voice acting! The king is voiced by that one bald star trek Captain! |

Just got it last night and have been playing it a bit today! Yay for LAN parties and getting stuff bootlegged from friends! Awesome graphics, though some of the areas outside the walls, where there are tons of trees, slows my computer down a touch...even though I've run games like Call of Duty 2, Half-Life 2, and GTA San Andreas with no lag problems whatsoever. |

I believe, though I may be mistaken, that Oblivion has more voice acting than any other game ever. I think that's what I read. |

Well, it's still given a run for its money by GTA: San Andreas, as far as the number of recognizable actors go. Oblivion has Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, and the perhaps lesser-known Terence Stamp and Lynda Carter. GTA SA has Samuel L. Jackson, James Woods, Peter Fonda, Big Boy, and Ice-T, to name a few...some other lesser-known names in there, too. Also, the list of actors for GTA SA is far, far longer than the list of actors for Oblivion. |

Whoa. Just one new thing that's new that makes it way, way, way less buggy then Morrowind. -If you accidently hit someone with your weapon and they get ticked and start to attack you, if you hold up your block and press the use button then you can apologize to them, and if they aren't toatally ticked at you they'll stop attacking! I mean, the biggest bug in Morrowind is that if it hit anyone even slightly suddenly they want to fight you to the death. It sucked to the extreme if that character was essential to the main quest and you had to reload to eailer save/start over (Well, if you were smart enough to get the PC version instead of the Xbox version, you could simply look up console commands on the internet to fix it) So yeah. Oh, and also; -It makes leveling up your skills alot more interesting by making it so you get a pimpin' new ability every so levels. Like say, with archery you evevtually learn to zooooom it scope style. And With (some other skill I can't remember...) you can knock weapons out of your oppenents hands. And while they're fumbling around trying to pick it up you can stab them to their doom! |

Yeah, and the new radiant ai is pretty awesome. It didn't quite live up to how it was described, but I still think that it's awesome. One problem with Morrowind was that the NPCs were all idiots. |

![]() I guess I'll return it and get Kingdom Hearts 2... Well, nothing wrong with Kingdom Hearts 2. It still boggles the mind how well Final Fantasy and Disney go together. As for Oblivion, I plan on picking it up sometime within the next 4 to 5 days. I know my computer can run it (can you believe that there are entire forums dedicated to the Dell Inspiron 9300? (my laptop model)), but I want to read some more reviews to determine just how awesome it is. The combat sounds more challenging, but anything is better than the dice roll system of Morrowind. |

Well, I have to say the game rocks beyond reason. I have two characters now, an Orc who's in the Fighter's Guild and Arena, and a Bosmer in the Theives Guild. I'll have some screens up sometime. Also, anyone else do the "Paranoia" quest, with Glarthir the Bosmer in Skingrad? That was fun. |
