That was a great movie :3 Too bad it ultimately set the precedent for Disney for remakes and sequels. Guh. I also love any Pixar movie that has ever come out. And I remember this old Ducktales movie that my brother and I must've rented about a thousand times... Page Dance of the Top Variety

Sequels are a generally excepted part of the movie biz, and their sequel-blitz was still a loooong way off. |

Still, it gives me something to blame for all of those mindless 2-movies that they churned out. |

Which brings up the age old question: How the crap do you make a sequel to Cinderella?! THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. EVERY GOOD STORY HAS A CONFLICT. *ahem* Uhh, okay, rant over. |

Billy Madison. I used to go rent that every other weekend. I bought the DVD last year, for old time's sake. Also...the original Land Before Time. I always cried so hard when his mom died. |

You wait fif-sixty years and let the kid(lets) become awed by the sleek animation compared to the comfort of 1950's ragged animation, which somehow feels good. You know the people making these films have gone too far when they make a THREEQUEL coming in 2007. I think this post is a toastpaint. TELL WHAT U THINK. |

It was sweet in its way. *lets flames pass* *steps out of suit* |

Yes! Brave little Toaster! Hahahaha I remember LOVING that movie! I remember watching some of the carebear movies. I ADORED the carebears. Oh, and I used to watch this cheesy/trippy movie called "Dot and the Bunny" has anyone heard of this? Theres another one called "Dot and the Kangaroo" I watched Dot and and the Bunny for the first time in kindergarden and I couldn't get enough of it. haha.... I also adored The Land before Time. Oh, how I love that movie! I watched it not too long ago and yes, I still cried
What else... I was a sucker for practically any Disney movie (still am though not as much because the new Disney movies arn't what they used to be )
There's more but I don't want to take up more space than I already have |

Let me see... I watched a lot of those Disney movies. There was this one...The Princess and the Goblin. I really liked it when I was younger...I tried watching it recently and it wasn't that great. Oh, and Brave Little Toaster. |

YES! I remember that one! However I think I only saw it once, but I remember liking it. I have no idea when that one came out though, I can't place it in my memory. |

I have that very movie sitting on the bookshelves in my room! It's like the only one of the "childhood favorites" thus mentioned that I own in viable format/ All the rest I have from video recordings. |

Windee wrote: 2) Okay, this one's a bit more obscure. This one's for all ten people who remember The Brave Little Toaster. It's a movie about abandoned household appliances in search of their beloved owner. No joke. The music was VERY catchy if I remember correctly (most of it '80's pop-style). My favorite character was this adorable little lamp, who was named....Lampy. (Yeah, they weren't really creative with names). I still cry on the inside when I think of Lampy getting electrocuted. Apparently a sequel was made to this but I've never actualy seen it...they probably ruined it somehow, anyway, so I doubt I'll even bother.
3) Time for animal movies! Milo and Otis and Homeward Bound. Particularly the latter. Homeward Bound is one of the few movies that makes me cry EVERY time I watch it. Just pop in the last five minutes and I'm bawling my eyes out. Shadoowwwwww....*sniffles* BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER. YES. JUST. YES. I love that movie. I still do. It rocks outloud. I know the entire script by heart XD Milo and Otis, ALSO one of my favorites. "And the bunnies quietly plotted their revenge" la mayo. You have excellent taste, dear Windee. Other flicks I dig... Labyrinth. Favorite. Movie. Ever. Period. End of discussion. it rocks you AND your momma's socks. The Princess Bride. ALSO rad. Westley was a hottie. Me-yow. Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Easily my favorite animated movie ever (even if it's only HALF-animated). This movie is so rad it actually hurts. |

On that line of thought: I got my first taste of anime when I was like three. I walked in on my dad watching Akira. The part with the giant toys. My dad said it wasn't a movie for little kids and shoed me out. But I remembered it for years, until the point when I actually saw Akira, and was like "OMGWTFBBQ!!!" My little sister watched PG-13 movies at like 5, but she's still OK. And now my entire family knows the profound meaning of the phrase: "Isn't this the audition for Pippin?" |

I think it is one of the greatest anime movies ever. It is definately a reason why anime got popular here.
