has anyone seen the real-life intro of the simpsons, apparently some station in the UK originally filmed it to advertise that they wrere gonna start showing episodes of the simpsons, but they decided to mput it on the web to get it around faster. If you havent seen it, you can watch it here on the episode of the simpsons on march 26 2006, they used it as the intro, but they flipped the one scene with the baby and mom driving |

It wasn't anything special. Although it is a good argument for never doing a live action Simpsons movie. |

Yeah, I thought they were going to do one of those movies, too. You know, The Simpsons are going to stop making new episodes in like two years, after that Matt Groening is retiring. But, yeah, that was funny. They even got Bart to jump on the car. |

on the contrary, my dear fatson, its special, cool, and i likes it, and as far as the simpsons movie goes, just take a look at this: From en.wikipedia.org: Feature film Talk about a possible feature-length Simpsons movie has been going on since the early days of the series. The episode "Kamp Krusty" was originally going to be a movie, but became a regular episode after difficulties were encountered in trying to expand the script to feature-length. News website Corona posted a popular April Fool's Day hoax describing fictional plans for a live action movie in 2000[10]. Rumors were circulated on the Internet about a movie already being in development, but it was not until 2004 that any were confirmed. In that year, producers announced a theatrical movie is in the very early stages of development, and that it will not be released until after the series ends. With the series being renewed for a nineteenth season, an estimated premiere date for The Simpsons Movie was set for the summer of 2008. This was confirmed by 20th Century Fox on June 6, 2005. Just like the series, the movie will be animated (Matt Groening recently turned down a proposal to make a live action film based on the characters, as this would likely ruin the franchise and anger fans) and will star the six main voice actors: Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, and most likely Marcia Wallace, Maggie Roswell, Pamela Hayden, and Tress MacNeille. It is speculated that there will also be guest stars appearing in large roles or cameos. IMDb has also created a page for The Simpsons movie[11], and claims a release date of November 2008, while Yahoo! Movies reports that The Simpsons Movie will be released in 2007[12]. In early March 2006, an opening sequence filmed with live actors appeared on the Internet. The clip originated from Sky One and began being broadcast on television a few weeks later. There was some initial speculation that the clip was a portion of a forthcoming live action Simpsons movie; however, it was eventually revealed that it was an advertisement created by Sky One[6]. The fact that the clip is overtly British also helped deaden this speculation; the cars have British-style license plates, and (except for Homer's) are driven on the left side of the road with the driver's seat on the right. This clip was actually used as the opening sequence for Episode 17x15 Entitled "Homer Simpson, This Is Your Wife" broadcasted March 26 2006 on Fox. The only connection between the use of this opening sequence and the episode is that the opening sequence is British-made and the episode was written by British comedian Ricky Gervais. |

Aha! This makes a little more sense. It did have kind of homemade quality to it that made me wonder if Groening (or anyone with studio backing) had anything to do with it. I still thought it was just 'Meh'. And I haven't heard anything of MG retiring in two years. The show's contract expires then (I think), but Groening still has the movie as the wiki noted and the Futurama DVD deal which hasn't even begun production yet. An aside, fine ep. last night, Ricky Gervais was pretty good. |

I find that pretty funny to see it like that, but I really wouldn't like a whole movie like this. It's kinda unsettling. |

Marge and Homer looked creepy. But it was good. I liked the episode. |

I thought it was ok. I mean, it was pretty cool that the people went and did that, but it was more or less an average couch gag. |

That's how i felt. It was like the whole thing was an extended couch gag. It would've been cool if they did the pan over of all the Springfieldians right before Homer pulls up to the driveway, like in the uncut version of the title sequence. |

It was cool that they got people to do it, but I don't see the purpose of it. |

I really think that the good episodes are behind the Simpsons. There is the occasional good joke (like Ralph Wiggum requesting a haircut like Charlie Brown), but the peak of Simpsons glory was in seasons 6-9. I hope the movie doesn't destroy everything that the fanatics have followed loyally for the last 20 or so years. |

Me gusta. Nothing special, really. Something's driving me to the brink of enjoyment. Preferrably the British people in the real-life intro(or are they?). |

The only thing I had issues with....was Marge's hair. It wasn't nearly high enough. I've seen beehives. I know it can be done! |

I love this thing and I have it saved in my movies folder. If you freeze frame it, they actually got every character who should be there. Sherri and Terri in the music room, Moe, Bleeding Gums Murphy etc. on the street, even Krusy on the TV! |

Okay, I'll accede that these folks had an eye for detail. The Krusty on TV was neat if not too Bozoesqe. I dunno, maybe I need to check this out again. |

It was pretty good, especially for something that wasn't funded by the creator himself or His producers. 9/10. |

That advert really irritates me. It's on sky 1 as well, and it's really annoying me. MARGE DOES NOT HAVE BLACK HAIR BART, DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A FOUR YEARS OLD BOY. |

ATTENTION ALL WEIRDOS WHO CARE ABOUT THE POOPSMITH!!!!!!!! Now that i have your attetions . . . . . you guy should realize that this wasnt made for accuracy, it was just thing that some british network had made to advertise that they were gonna start showing episodes of the simpsons, they were gonna put it on tv, but they decided to put it on the internet. and this isnt an advertisement that they are gonna make a movie, personally , i dont know if they will make a simpsons movie. Just keep in mind that this wasn't made to be perfctly accurate in every little detail, nor was it made as a movie ad, it was just made for the fun of it |

Personally, I think The Simpsons jumped the shark quite some time ago. |
