After seeing a thread by detective everybody, i decided to see if anyone remembered any of the following old great shows:
the funny, yet short-lived cartoon series Ned's Newt,
Mighty Max,
Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego,
Caaptain Planet,
Bobby's world
The old cartoon series of TMNT in the 1980's or so,
um, that's about it, but if there are any other shows that you may remember or want to bring uop, feel free to do so.
*If you dont know about any of these shows, just go to the wikipedia

I don't remember a Mighty Max, but I do remember a Fantastic Max, and it was pretty freakin' awesome. It was about this baby with his own pet alien, a robot made out of Tinkertoys, and a rocketship. I know, I know. But seriously. It was awesome.

You know what else was a cool show? Pirates of Dark Water or something like that. Really, really cool.

Yeah, I was lucky to catch that one once or twice before it got cancelled. It also had pretty decent merchendise, the Sega Genesis game was a pretty good side scroller.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of pretty much all of the shows FishFight mentioned, with the exception of Ned's Newt which I never heard of.

I'll throw in The Real Ghostbusters though, at least the first two seasons. Well written and with great voice acting.

Lemmesee here....I remember growing up with:

Cartoons:
Smurfs
Muppet Babies
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
TinyToon Adventures
Animaniacs
Pinky & the Brain
Ghostbusters
Captain Planet
Doug (before it was bought by Disney)
Rugrats
Bobby's World

Live-Action:
Pee-Wee's PlayHouse (and I was so disappointed when it was pulled off the air after Paul Rueben's arrest)
Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?
Salute Your Shorts
You Can't Do That on Television! (Alanis Morissette's early beginnings into stardom!)
What Would You Do?
Family Double Dare
The original line-up of SNICK (which all I remember are two of the four shows: Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Roundhouse)
Power Rangers (as discussed in another thread)
Hey, Dude!

...and that's all I can think of for now.

Mighty Max... that's about the kid with the hat, right? If so, ja, I remember that. It was freakin' sweet.

Man, old Snick reminescenin's reminds me of a show I used to totally go gaga over... Space Cases. Anybody remember this? Man, it was this flippin' sweet space opera thing with these kids and their commanders stranded in this weird alien spaceship. And they got everywhere on the ship by SLIDING THROUGH TUBES. Man, it was the best way to get around EVER.

And Clarissa Explains It All! I loved the little computer games she made. She was a pretty good programmer for her day, eh?

You can buy the DVD's of Pee Wee's Playhouse. We watched a bunch of episodes in my Children's Literature class last year. It was so great. There are so many adult jokes hidden in there, that I didn't notice as a kid.

Also, I was just talking to a friend the other day about how I would buy every season of Bobby's World, were it to come out on DVD. Someone please tell me it's available? That would be great.

Ned's Newt.....last time I checked, they still aired the re-runs on Teletoon (Canadian station). I love that show, great great show.

I used to be a hardcore Care Bears fan. However, I find the recent insurgence of Care Bears junk annoying. It doesn't look the same. Bleh.

Doug.........those were the days. That's for making me remember that show. I LOVED Doug. I miss Doug. Quail Man? Come one. YES!

Two words: Killer Tofu. :bubs:

I just remembered another one--it didn't seem to run very long or have many episodes, and I believe it was originally from the UK, but aired for a short time (like, 4 episodes or so) on Nickelodeon back in the day: The Tomorrow People. Show about a few kids that suddenly discovered that they could teleport, and then got into some drama with MI-5-types or something...anyone else remember this show?

Anyone heard of Plazmo? It's an australian stop-motion animation. Or claymation. It is really cool. I remember watching it when I was really little.
