Not really.
I mean, the first one was pretty funny, but after that, they went downhill FAST.

The whole parodying people for the sake of parodying people just isn't as funny as it used to be, at least not to me.

I don't really care how good it is.
I'm seeing it with the girlfriend on Saturday.
So. It'll be a fun time no matter HOW BAD it is.

What about the part where they were like, "Let's have a footrace!" and she runs into the tree, and he laughs and runs into the wall of the house.

Those crazy Scary Movie people and their parodies.

Ok. I loved Scary Movie 3. I know, its dumb humor, but it just has a different kind of humor, like, you have to be paying attention to notice it or you lose.
Like, after that movie came out, my friends and I quoted it every day for the next few months. It has been our most-quoted thing of all time.

We're seeing it the day it comes out.

No matter how many bad movies he makes, I will always think Leslie Nielsen is hilarious.

people say that puns are the lowest form of comedy, but i don't believe that. read some shakespeare and get back to me. my point here is that parody is the lowest form of comedy because the entire scary movie franchise is really not funny. if i wanted to see a bunch of old people looking in a camera for two hours i would watch the Big Brother finale or something.

that being said, scary movie one and 2 were kind of funny despite themselves, but this one just looks stupid. i mean, who HASN't made fun of tom cruise jumping on the stupid couch this year? it was so dumb you dont need a parody of it! but maybe i'll go watch scary movie where some reaaly bad celebrity look-alikes will re-enact it AGAIN and stretch it out for about ten minutes. oh boy.

I never really liked Scary Movie 1 or 2, I'm not a fan of the Wayans Bros. I did find a few chuckles in 3 when David Zucker(Airplane, The Naked Gun) took over the franchise. I dunno, at it's best it's a mediocre franchise. I'll watch it when it comes out on uh T.V.

Agreed. Which is why it bugs me that Comedy Central only shows the (horrible) Scary Movie 2.

Scary Movie 4 looks okay. I like the footrace thing... Running into trees always make me laugh. I probably will go see it.

Well, I saw it today.
And man oh man did it sucked. I kinda knew it was gonna be overproduced, but it was just blech. It was trying way too hard to be funny, and it just wasn't that good Scary Movie 3 movie humor that I loved. And they took out one of my favorite actors (Simon Rex, George Logan)! Oh well. It happens.

My all-time favorite part of Scary Movie 3 was when near the end, Leslie Nielson opens the door to the basement to say, "I just wanted to wish you good luck--we're all counting on you." Harkening all the way back to Leslie Nielson's very first comedy, "Airplane!"--BRILLIANT!

I thought that Scary Movie 2 was the best one. I do wish Comedy Central would show other Scary Movies though.

Order of goodness in scary movie: 3, 1, 4, 2. No matter how bad 4 was, 2 was much worse...

I just saw it last night.
I had never seen any of the other ones, so I can't really judge how good this movie was, I guess.
But, for those who haven't seen any of them, I recommend seeing this movie. I thought it was hilarious.

I saw it last night. It rather reminded me of Drawn Together in its comedic sense. That is to say, it was quite clever when it did the parody right, but most of the time it went for the cheap and easy sex/poop joke. Still, I laughed at the Dr. Phil cameo and Leslie Neilsen's role. it wasn't the worst possible way to spend a Friday evening.

I saw it yesterday. It was pretty funny, but I haven't seen most of the movies they're making fun of. The best part was when Cindy was trying to speak Japanese, but just said random Japanese things.

The theater didn't let me in to see scary movie 4 (they didn't fall for the "yes I'm 14" thing). I ended up seeing the bench warmers, and it sucked...

Were you not old enough to see it by yourself?

I'm only 13. I said I was 14, but they didn't fall for it.

Isn't it PG-13? Or are you in Canada and it's different?

Errr... how can they tell one year's difference?

Have the Canadians developed some kinda psychic age-guessing powers?

In the US, you can buy tickets for PG-13 movies no matter what age you are. Well, at least I was able to....

But, my favorite part was in the beginning when the aliens come, and Tom is in the street, and the random guy with his dog walk by in the background, and they're both on fire. Its little things like that in the Scary Movies that make me laugh the loudest. But those little things seemed to be absent in this movie.

And the Brokeback Mountain jokes are seriously starting to get old.
