Hmmm... Let's see, Joeyday joined May 8 2004. That must have been the creation date of the forum. Assumeing that, I joined 2 days after it's creation, same day as IJ.

Considering I've been around so long, My post count doesn't seem all that worthy Image

You have .99 posts per day. Not that bad, considering how long you have been on. And I'm at least still a newb. Be happy that you're not.

I think you're close to being out of the Newb woods, though. You are cool, in my book.

Yeah, you're not a newb Lu Bu. I don't think I'm a newb anymore, just that not everyone has accepted me >_>

Really you're cool and have over 1000 posts. Who thinks that?

Hey, I've accepted you.

You are pretty new, though.

But the most recent waves of new users joining (i.e. alberto, Capt. Ido Nos, Cybernetic Teenybopper, others) just seem to fit right in eventually. You forget that many of them joined or started posting here relatively recently.

I fall into the same category as alberto and CT? Aww, thanks! *self esteem +20*

Edit: Hey, ironically enough, this makes 900 posts :p

I guess that means it's time for the obligatory :eekdance:

They are the opposite of me. It took me forever to get the feeling of fitting in. I didn't feel like I belonged until after I had been here for about 9 months.

Ah, sure you do Jello B. I don't think I can imagine much of a forum without our good token linux user ;)

I remember when I used to be in the running for top poster. Then things went a little crazy go nuts. Personally, I dont' put a lot of weight on judging someone based on their post count. It's like judging them on their khaki pants or something like that :)

Post's don't matter to me.

There is something I've learned from other forums I've been to, and it's this: "It's not about your post count, but making your posts count."

Same, but I see you as a regular along with pretty much everyone else.

Funny though, I read pretty much every topic that has been posted but I don't like replying because I feel like I'm intruding. Is that weird?

No it isn't Spangles.

I still feel new here. And sometimes I won't write a post even if it's something I want to post in.

It does seem a little odd.

I'm personally looking to make my posts quality and not quality because who would like to read 94,861 posts by anybody saying, "yeah sur i gess so im SOOOOOO exitrd bot that itpwns th3 1337??!!" instead of reading 7 posts that made meaningful statements.

Yeah, I hear ya. I hate those khaki pants, too.

I used to be like number 8 or so in the race for the most posts.

But now I'm just an ordinary schmuck. With mind-blowing powers.

Eh. Most of my posts are in forum games.

I've been here a while, and most people know me. Heck, I remember back when Ack changed from being a n00b :P

I guess I just don't post as often as I'd like....

I personally don't understand why you wouldnt post something that you want to. I still feel somewhat new, but I always post when I feel. Maybe that makes me annoying. I hope not. I just never feel like people will get angry no matter what anybody posts. It seems like people really mature on this for at like 100. They then know about how to act. That doesnt mean they're regulars, because I dont consider myself a regular, but hey, i have no flipping clue what I'm talking about.

Well, for me, I don't care terribly much about my post count, but one thing I do watch is my posts-per-day. It's a good indicator of whether or not I'm spending entirely too much time on the computer. If I can keep it relatively constant, then that's swell. If it suddenly spikes from seven to forty-seven... well that's bad.

I'm just hoping to break 1000 before the end of the year. That's all. I've been here almost a year so my post count says semi-life. I have also taken a couple 2 or 3 month hiatuses(hiati?)

I know how you "I don't feel like I belong here" people feel. I want to post more, but I just can't think of anything to post about. Thus, my post per day is about -2 and I feel like I don't belong here.

You know, my post count would be much higher if I wasn't so afraid of my posts being spam.

*Looks at post count, it's 11.30*

I'M NOT ADDICTED! Well, it's only so high because I want 1337 by the end of tonight :p and it's gonna stay 1337 for a while X3

You'd be surprised to learn that a lot of them are users who registered a bunch of names before settling on one. And that was way back when you could change your username.

And Stu is working on this, but a LOT of them are ad sites. No clicky, children!

I don't consider myself a noob, but that's probably because I'm an egotist. Most residents of the Kidlet Forest would foist the title of "noob" upon me forthwith.

I broke my 1337 by accident >_>

But overall post count has naddah to do with to do with how you are treated. Just look at me :p

I think I fall in that category. Or maybe I'm just trying to give myself pseudo-self esteem. Either one.

BTW, MHG, How did you manage to revert your username from the holiday one after they made the "no changing usernames" rule?

She's a mod, that's how.
