What was your first word?

Also, what words did you mispronounce?

My first word was "fan". Words I mispronunced:

McDonald's was "Nye-Nye". (Dont ask)
Juice was "jew". Ohh, that's funny.

Well, I don't know what my first word was. But my parents have said that it was "Noo-Noo", which was my way of saying milk.

Mine was, oddly enough, "cracker". Apparently, I LOVED saltines.

For mispronounciations, I called my cousin Adam "Dum-Dum", which worked out.

I have no idea what my first words were, but my son's first word was Bye-bye, which was soon followed by Grandpa (pronounced Pampa).

My daughter's first word was Daddy, followed shortly thereafter with Wheee! (We got a swingset for the backyard.)

I don't know what my first word was, but I do know a word I pronounced wrong.
In Urdu (a language from India and Pakistan) the word uper (oop-er) means upstairs in English. But I pronounced pronounced it as upper.
Aha! I'm quadruplingual, if that's a word! I know:
  • English
  • EspaƱol
  • Urdu
  • and I'm learning Arabic!

I was a young lad when I got my first pet (a cat). My parents were to name her "Bubba" (yes, it was female). I pronounced it as "Bubble", so they gave her the name I could pronounce.

My first word was cookie. My mom asked me what I wanted for lunch one day and I said "coooooooookie." The only word that I could not pronounce was my name I called myself "Fer-Fer" instead of Christopher.

I mispronounce words all the time. My most famous one is dinghy. I pronounce it din-ny. The G sound never comes out.

Well, up until 2nd grade I didn't know how to made "Th" noises. So pretty much all "Th"s were replaced with "d". Which caused alot of Hilalrious mispronouncings.

Yeah you get the point. Also, even today I CANNOT pronounce Theater or bibliography.
Theater= either "The-ate-er" or "theet-er"
Bibliography= "Bibloblulbuhbly" (pretty much I just make a bunch of blubbery noises and trail off)

Sheebugnetic Teenybopper?

My first word was "Wuzzat?" And I STILL SAY IT TO THIS DAY. I cannot just ask someone "What's that?" "Whatcha got there?" "What matter of miscellaney might you be perusing?" It always, always, ALWAYS comes out as "Wuzzat?"

I had a remarkably nimble tongue when I was younger. One of my favorite phrases was "Psychic phenomenon!" There was only one word that I could never say as a kid, and that was "lightses." Sounds like Gollumese. But my parents got me at a later age... because I read books with words beyond the average kid's vocabulary, and then tried to use them without ever having heard them spoken. Resulting in some strange pronounciations... like "vert-i-stale," (for "versatile") "sub-tull," (for "subtle,") and "suck-i-ent" (for "succinct").

I don't know any of my own, but my mother, when she was little, couldn't say 'shoulders'. She said 'soldiers' instead. :p

And my little cousin Samantha couldn't pronounce my real-life name, Emily.

"LEMLY! LEMLY!"

My first word was "again" after my dad threw me in the pool (in a floaty raft thing.) I have always pronounced "little" "thzittle." And I can't stop, no matter how hard I try.

Umm.... I can't remember what my first word was, though I do know that I began speaking at a very early age.

I used to refer to someone's last name as their "Egart", since that's my last name...
