I'm trying to load up my Dell DJ(which is far superior to an Ipod) with sweetly awesome songs. I was just wondering if people have any suggestions!

Just post what kind of music you like!(homesatarrunner is a given)

You get bonus points for having a DJ. :D You're the third person I know who has one, myself included :3 Do you have a jam jacket for it?
(note: the excessive lameness of a name like "jam jacket" is totally made up for by the DJ itself.)

Anyway, song suggestions..well, let's see what I've got on mine. o_o

"They're Coming to Take Me Away" - Dr. Demento
"In The Shadows" - The Rasmus
"I'm A Werecow" - Dr. Demento
"The Lumberjack Song", "Cheese Shop", "Dead Parrot", "Camelot", "Brave Sir Robin", "Communist Quiz", "Argument" - Monty Python
Several George Carlin segments
Select tracks from "Star Wars: The Musical" (run a Google search)
"Little Shop of Horrors" Original 1979 Broadway Cast
"You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" 1999 Broadway Revival Cast
I like musicals. :D
There's a bunch of other stuff on there but that's what I've got on my current selected music list.

Well, a quick search through these forums returns a great list of topics dedicated to people listing what music they like, which you might want to peruse through first. Such topics include:

Best Song(s) Ever
Who are you listening to lately?
What are you listening to now?
What kind of music do you like
Feel-Good Music
Favorite CD/Album?

Maybe posts in those would be a good start for some ideas.

I have a jam jacket. It's blue. I keep my DJ, blue skin and all, in my backpack. This has a good and bad outcome. On the one hand, that pocket is incredibly clean. On the other, it's clean because every molecule of dust and skin and stray graphite and paper is magically attracted to the jacket. Good thing the jacket is basically impermeable, or the impromptu spit shine that inevitably takes place whenever I take the DJ out to use it would probably break my beloved mp3 player. Advice: Keep your DJ in a plastic baggie if you plan to keep it with you in a bag of some sort. Unless you're in the habit of vacuuming out your backpack, purse, shoulder bag, etc. every time you reach into it, your jacket will attract all kinds of interesting particles that are absolute hell to clean off.

Ugh. Dr. Demento is a radio host, not a musician. "They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha-Haaa!" is sung by Napoleon XIV (and subsequently by lots of other folks, but never Dr. Demento), and I've never heard of this "Werecrow" song, but it whomever it was, it wasn't Dr. Demento.

Limewire is kind of....how you say....illegal.

I use dell. 99 cents a song.

They're coming to take me away is a great one.

Uh..
  1. If an artist wanted you to have their music for free, they'd give it away on their web site. Support artists--buy music.
  2. Never trust anything a filesharing program tells you.

Yeah, people just assign random names to songs they don't know the artist of... for example, look up "Santa Monica" by Everclear, and you'll find that apparently Hootie and the Blowfish, Fastball, and the Presidents of the United States of America have all done that song.

Very yes. There's a band called Me First and the Gimme Gimmes who do punk-esque covers of punk songs, and their songs are almost always labeled Blink 182 or New Found Glory. Eugh.

I know one of those, Brown eyed girl.
And all those people who say those wanna-be-funny songs are all by Weird Al. I tell them that they aren't, but they say, "That's what the site says!"

Anyway, I'm going to give you my top music list. Of underrated songs.

1.Green Day, with Homecoming, St. Jimmy, Platypus, and F.O.D
2. Blink 182, with Anthem Part 2 and Dumpweed
3. Nirvana, with Territorial Pissings and Stay away
4. Queen, with Spread your wings, again
5. AC/DC, but they don't have a greatest hits CD, so I don't know what is underrated. I like Shoot to thrill and Have a Drink on Me
6. Goldfinger, with Wasted and Stalker
7. System of a Down, but I don't know any underrated songs
8. Def Leppard, same thing

Sorry if this looks too much like my underrated songs list.

I don't care that you download music, but make sure it is legal. 'Cuz Limewire isn't. Just giving you a heads' up.

I suggest getting some Aquabats music. Those guys are good. Specifically Cat With 2 Heads!, The Ballad of Mr. Bonkers, Adventure Today!, and Fashion Zombies. There's plenty of other great songs out there, too.

I also suggest getting most (if not all) of the TMBG album, Flood. Like Birdhouse in Your Soul, Istanbul (Not Constantinople), Twisting, We Want a Rock, and Someone Keeps Moving My Chair
