I was assigned a project about scientific issues, and we had to pick an issue to study. I chose genetic engineering. Well, one of the requirements was to survey 50 people on their thoughts on the topic. So I thought that it might be a good idea to conduct my survey here. Please fill this out for me.

All right, let's see here...

1. Do you know what genetic engineering is?
Yes (I think so)

2. What type of gene is inserted into some industries pork chops?
C. Chicken Gene (The crap?)

3. Would you eat genetically modified foods?
Yes (SUPER TOMATO!)

4. Do you agree with genetically enhancing humans?
Uncertain (Most of me says "Go for it", but morals are getting in the way)

5. Who should be responsible for funding genetic engineering?
B. Whoever is doing the research/testing (Generic comment)

6. Limits should be put on genetic engineering.
Agree (There's a point where it goes too far)

Yes(Almost certain i got the basic idea of it down.)

C. Chicken Gene(This made the most sense to me)

3. Would you eat genetically modified foods?
Yes(if they were tasty :P)

4. Do you agree with genetically enhancing humans?
Disagree(They'll be the way they'll be.)


5. Who should be responsible for funding genetic engineering?
B. Whoever is doing the research/testing(It mkes the most sense for they guy who wants to do this to actually use his money for it instead of asking the government.)


6. Limits should be put on genetic engineering.
Uncertain(When we're engineering humans to have mouse ears coming out of the back(kudos if you know what I'm referencing), I'll draw a line.)

Not sure...I'm guessing chicken, but I don't know.

3. Would you eat genetically modified foods?
Possibly. If they were healthier and tasted good, then yes. If they were really unhealthy, or they were screwing with the environment, then no.

4. Do you agree with genetically enhancing humans?
Agree, to an extent. If the person wants it, or it would greatly improve their quality of life (for example, curing an illness), then yes. If it's being done to people against their will, or it's harming them, no.

5. Who should be responsible for funding genetic engineering?
I'd say that whoever's doing the research should fund it, or POSSIBLY the government.

6. Limits should be put on genetic engineering.
Agree. There's a point where it goes too far.

Everyone puts 'chicken gene', but pork chops are far nicer than chicken (unless it's southern fried), so adding chicken gene would make it worse. :P
