Last.fm.

One of my favorite services is Last.fm. I'm sure you've seen my nifty little signature here, telling you all the awesome things I've been listening to. Last.fm compiles graphs about what you listen to (here's mine) through an extention called Audioscrobbler, which clips on to your favorite music player (iTunes, Winamp, WMP, etc.) and reports all you're listening to. This connects you to people with similar tastes, "neighbors", who can show you new music. And if you don't use your computer to listen to music? Go to the Radio section, download the simple program, and enter a few bands that you enjoy. You'll get music by them and tons of similar artists. It's like a bigger Pandora!

So is anyone else on last.fm?

Ooh, I'm on there. Actually, I had AudioScrobbler before it got pwned by Last.fm, then forgot about it for a looooong time, and then got back into it recently. Check me out (clicky):

why yes, yes i am with last.fm! im not gonna link you to my page though cos ive used it like, once, and theres hardly anything on there so yeah. i havent explored all the audioscrobbler/last.fm functions yet but from what ive seen, it looks good.

Last.fm is awesome. I like seeing all the stats about my music. My last played songs are in my sig, obviously.

What do I take from that? Just the URL? If not, what tags do I need?

In, "Where's this chart going?" Click other, then choose which you want it to look like, and take the code it gives you for your banner, it will be able to fit, and the code should have [url=you profile][img][/img][/url]

Oh, it shows up on some wierd time. It's 11:22am and the the sig says it's 10:22 (yesterday).

I should probably try it, too. Though I'm a bit skeptic about the whole "sending information from your computer via a player" -concept, even if it's just about song titles.
Let's see how much it screws up the names of tunes in some less popular formats (not just OGG Vorbis etc, but UMX, MOD, NSF, SID and such).

Do this and post the code you get in this thread. If it's within the sig limits, feel free to use it as your sig.

By the way, this doesn't add videos played in Windows Media Player, does it?
