That goes without saying, IMO.

Even better is multitasking, with internet and some cool tv show on together and you're doing 'em both. :eekdance:

I watch enjoy American Idol. It's not my favorite show in the world (Go Lost!!) but it's cool. Chris better win (or at least Taylor). What was with him being in the bottom three last week?

OK, rant time:

[rant]Everyone on American Idol sucks. I'm sorry. None of them are half as good as the previous winners, and I hate Ryan Seacrest's stupid face. And they keep interupting Simon with music, and he's the best thing on the whole show. [/rant]

Apparently he listened to Simon and sung something other than a rock tune.

It's about time Kellie got voted off. And I think Paris will go next week.

Yeah, I don't think Paris will survive very long in this competition either. Which is a shame - she started out really good, but lately she's gotten a bit boring.

So I think it'll either be Paris or Kellie that will be voted off this week. I do hope it's Kellie, but who knows.

Kellie did get voted off.

I'm getting good at this.

I knew that Kellie and Paris were the weakest links, and they were the two with the lowest votes on Sunday (or whenever it's broadcast in Yankeeland). Yay me! And even as soon as Kellie started singing, I knew she'd get voted off.

Next week, I predict that it'll either be Paris or Catherine. Though Catherine's a wildcard, her prospects could go either way.

I saw Chris's performance. Can he belt out a ballad or what? It was cool seeing Andrea Bocelli giving the contestants tips.

*BTG was forced to watch American Idol*

Yeah, no doubt she's a great singer. But I think she's in danger of getting overshadowed by the others, flambouyancy-wise.

Though she has got a cute girl-next-door charisma about her. And I reckon she'll survive this week if she goes for an energetic song. It'll be interesting to see, either way.

He sure can. I think his best overall performance was of Johnny Cash's Walk the Line. And yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking...... but it really was a quality performance.

My Top 5 prediction!

5. Elliot
4. Paris
3. Catherine DIE ALREADY
2. Taylor
1. Chris

I don't think so. I think Paris is gone tonight, and Taylor or Elliot might be in danger. Catherine will be safe, even though that was her second bad performance in a row (her first song).

I love how the judges never told Catherine to try something other than stand there and sing a slow song, while they did that to Chris and almost got him kicked off. Though to be fair, she did try something else this week (her second song).

[unsupportedassumption]I'm just gonna go out there and say that IMHO, some of the really bad people are probably staged. I mean, if you were really that bad, would you go on a show which consisted entirely of singing well?[/unsupportedassumption]

Not only do I WATCH American Idol, but have tried out for it.

And got accepted. However, because I was still in high school, my parents didn't let me go (I tried out with a friend, just to support. She did NOT get accepted).

Simon said my voice was 'raw, but addictive'.

Weirdest. Comment. Ever. Recieved.

Soooo... yes ^^;

Chris isn't going to be voted off for awhile. Not when the entire state has "Vote For Chris Daughtry" signs just about everywhere. You can't get away from them.

O rly? That's pretty amazing. I couldn't do those auditions. For one, it would be too much effort trying not to smack Simon Cowell in the face - and that's whether he likes my singing or not. ;)

That's right. I called it. Let's try for two in a row: Elliot will go home next week.

Holy crap! That stinks that you didn't get to go, but it's still cool that you got accepted.

Well, Paris is gone, as I expected. Either Elliot or Taylor is gone next. Now, I love Taylor, and I think his overwhelming fan support will keep him in it, but for me, Elliot and Taylor are about the same at this point in the competition. I would be surprised if Catherine was in the bottom two, only for the fact that she's done horrible a couple of times and stayed in the competition.

So here's my predictions (I'll edit these after this tuesday):

4. Elliot/Taylor
3. Taylor/Elliot
2. Catherine
1. Chris

As I said before, if Chris doesn't win, it's a sin against nature. He's been the best in the competition for a long time now.

Idol's okay. Last year I tuned in when the season was nearly over. Was pretty interesting...
I haven't gotten into it yet this year (no time) but perhaps when my final exams are over I'll make a point of checking out who's left.

WOW! That is so exciting! Too bad you couldn't go. Stupid high school. Silly parents.

For years friends of mine/ family/ random people on the street who hear me sing to myself have told me to try out, but I haven't because 1) If I was accepted I couldn't likely go anyway and 2) my psyche is too sensitive. Simon would probably make me cry, even though I know he's just a big jerk. ;_;

But we'll see. Maybe next time they come to Chicago.

Tell you what, if you try out again, I'll try out. ^^ Then we can take over the show together.

Heh, my friend from school and I are hoping for a Chris/Hicks finale. Now THAT'S the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny.

I also sincerely hope that somebody on Idol, at any point in the future, sings that 'Cause you had a bad day" song that they play when you get kicked off, 'cause that'd be hilarious.

Simon complimented on your voice?

You are clearly the coolest person here. :bubs:

Was this last season? I might have seen you... I know some girl got accepted for a raw, but addictive voice and her friend didn't make it.

I just saw it tonight. Yar! I knew Paris would go. A shame, but no doubt she'll have a career from this.

Right right - the prediction for next week..... hmm..... Taylor. But it's so hard to call.
