Yes. Fall out boy is a scratch on the music industry today, and rap shouldn't be considered music. But Green Day is the best band ever. They are one of the few bands today that will soon be eternal. Also, I hate bowling for Soup. They can die too. |

These guys. There is NO ONE worse than them. Ever. (Rap doesn't count, since it isn't music, and therefore does not have bands.) |

I don't think rap is so bad, and that's coming from a nerdy white girl, here. There's a lot of cruddy stuff out there, but true rap and hip-hop are about the beats and the rhythm, and that's always good. I'm gonna stick up for Gwen Stefani, though. No Doubt was a good band, and I have to admit, I really like What 'Cho Waitin' For? |

Well, ok, some rap is musical, but most of the modern rap is not. Of course, realize that this is coming from a classical trumpet major, so I have a little bit of a different idea of what is and is not musical than most people. |

Well, if we're talking about the band's lack of ability to put on a good live performance, then My Chemical Romance wins the race by a mile. I swear, it sounds like their frontman smokes two packs of cigarettes before every show. In terms of generally boring music, I'd say Coldplay. |

Bagh! I like Coldplay... Slipknot I think is pretty bad. I just listened to one song of theirs... Bagh. They're just stupid. Not music. |

I can't say that I agree in the whole "I heard one of their songs, and it sucked, so they suck." idea. You ARE right about slipknot, but for the wrong reason. Judging a band by a single song, even a single album, is a bad idea. Imagine what someone who's never heard of Metallica would think about them if the only album they'd ever heard was St. Anger |

When I listen to music, I don't want to feel like I have to take a nap. Coldplay just isn't my thing. |

Music shouldn't do that. But you probably weren't talking to me anyway.

Also, I hate bowling for Soup. They can die too. Gah. I hate to have to disagree with you, but ever since American Idiot, Green Day has become just as bad as Fall Out Boy. But I do agree with you on the Bowling for Soup thing. No. Writing. Talent. |

How could I forget about Danzig? Sorry Glenn, but I liked you before but now...blues metal was a good idea but you effed it up. Just chuck everything out except for "Mother". Three fudge squares to anyone who knows what I'm talking about up there. And the worst of all worst bands, STYX. I just want to tear my arm off and beat m self in the head with it whenever "Sail Away" or "Mr. Roboto" comes on the radio. |

One thing I don't like about Coldplay is the usage of the melody from Kraftwerk's Computer Love (from the album Computer World, 1981) in Talk. It's not plagiarism, though. They did credit the Kraftwerk guys and are Kraftwerk fans themselves. Neither has Kraftwerk sued them or anything. The thing I don't like about this whole issue is the fact that every time I listen to Computer Love people come to me and go all "OMG THEY RIP'D OF COLDPLAY LOLZ", and then I have to explain the whole long story again and prove that the song is originally from the early eighties, blah blah blah... The rumors about Kraftwerk bringing Computer Love back to their playlist on their ongoing tours did sound awesome like a year ago, but I'm not so sure about it now. Nevertheless, I can't say Coldplay sucks, since Talk is the only song I've heard from them. My two cents. |

How anyone can like this syrupy garbage they're playing right now is beyond me. If they go back to the stuff they did on Dookie, I'll go back to thinking they are actually worth listening to. [/old man, "back in my day!" rant] If you looked at what Jello B. said, a lot of people hate popular music. Green Day has been totally experimental with their last several albums, Insomniac, Shenanigans, and American Idiot. Who is to say that they won't return to their punk roots that got Dookie such popularity? They still say themselves that they are punk. |

For a while now I've felt as if there's just suddenly this rule that any music my sister likes, I must hate. That's not exactly true, but she does have questionable taste in music. She only liked Evanescence and Green Day because I did, and I haven't heard either one from her computer since I stopped showing interest in it. And the stuff she likes independent of me? The most irritating songs ever written. 90% of the artists she likes need to die in a fire. ><'' There are better female artists and bands out there than Hilary Duff, Natasha Bedingfield, and Saving Jane, you know. Oh, here's something depressing: I spent the weekend in the Everglades and there were these two or three girls, somewhere between six and nine years old, who were singing some Hilary Duff song or another. I think their life's goal at that point was to learn the whole song and to sing it "good", and that thought depressed me to no end. They couldn't even sing properly. But that might be because they were seven. :\ |

The reason Dookie was so popular is because it was their first major label debut. Also, I doubt that they're going back to their punk roots, since their pop trends are making them so much money. |

You know what I hate, Kidz Bop. They just take songs and make stupid little kids with annoying non-singable voices and make them sing it. In my keyboarding class, when our teacher let us bring in our CDs to listen to, some girl was like, "Can I bring in Kids Bop?" And I was like, WTF. I know they're not a band, but bear with me. |
