| Post subject: | The Lost Experience |
Press release for The Lost Experience Lost fans, is anyone planning on playing the alternate reality game that launched last night? I'm so excited about this, as Lost is one of my favourite shows right now and I enjoy this style of game (remember I Love Bees?) Here's how it begins: If you watched the American broadcast of Lost last night, you may have noticed a commercial near the end for an organization called the Hanso Foundation. This is the foundation that funds the Dharma Initiative, the mysterious research institute responsible for the island's hatches. The commercial ended with a phone number to call: 1-877-HANSORG. Calling it will give you tidbits from the Hanso executives, including a password that you can input into their website to access special information. I'm starting to follow the game's clues at http://www.thelostexperience.com - it has the phone messages if you can't get through to the number. This game will continue over the summer, so I can get my Lost fix between seasons. Rumours are flying that clues will be sent to real-world locations across the globe, everything from billboards to Hanso products. In addition, a book has been released that was written by one of the crash victims. This is the manuscript Sawyer was reading in last night's episode, and it's supposed to be full of clues. I can't wait to see where this game is going.

I forgot about Hanso being part of the show, but when I was watching last night and the commercial came up I thought 'Man, that sounds like some sort of evil coorperation from a comic book or something.' I'll keep an eye on this but I'm not interested enough to put money into this thing (buying the book for one) |

Yeah, I'll probably end up using the spoiler sites for the book's info or getting it from a library maybe. The press release said the phone number is toll-free. It better be. |

Yeah, that's another thing I'm suspicious of, but it appears you can access the voicemails on the site at least. |

This thing seems like it requires. . . work. I'm not into that. I'll just keep to watching the show. |

I guess technically you don't need to watch the show, as this seems a different story related only to the show's backstory. But there will probably be clues within the show itself. If you need to get caught up on episodes you missed or can't remember, you know we have a wiki right? |

I suggest you check out the Wikipedia articles. They have all the information of the topic you could ever want without all the needless fancruft and insane theories distracting and confusing you.

SPOILA! Don't read until you've gotten as far as you possibly can... Quote: Well, I cracked the code, all I have to do now is wait for Persephone to contact me again... Also, go to the section in active projects called Worldwide Wellness and Provention Development Program, then click world map, then in sea between North and South America. There is a SECRET CODE!

Wow, is anyone still following this? It's getting pretty interesting, we've found out that Spoiler wrote: Persephone is Rachel Blake, who is traveling around the world trying to track down Thomas Mittlewerk and find out what exactly the Hanso Foundation is up to. But she's being hunted down, and there's a team of assassins after her.
Recent updates have been in the form of video blogs, and the story is progressing well. I could never figure out how to access all this stuff, so I follow along with http://www.thelostexperience.com Thoughts? Comments? |
