Lu Bu wrote: Wait, I take back what I said earlier. FF7's ending was sad. Not because of the storyline or plot, but because at the end if you save in the crater you can't get out! There was so much extra stuff left to do! I had to start another game. That made me sad...
save in the crater you can't get out? maybe your game was glitched but i know i got out often. if you go down into the end section at the bottom of the crater it warns you like 3 times that you cant go back and its the end but at the ragular save point you can go back out to the highwind... |

Hm. Nope. No video game endings have ever made me cry. Various parts of video games have, however. ACTUALLY WAIT. The Kingdom Hearts 1 ending made me cry. But it was a good cry ^^ |

Alexander wrote: sb_enail.com wrote: I can't remember any game endings that were particularly sad. Maybe I'm just playing upbeat games for the most part. There was the end of Riven though, the sequel to Myst... But that wasn't all that sad. I found the ending sadning because of the fact that you saw the immense world that was Riven completly falling apart around you. Cyan spent over 7 years making that game. The graphics are showing some age, but I'm still impressed with it for its age. But to think that the people at Cyan spent all that time making that world, only to completely deystroy it. *drool* Riven... I think that one of the most sad and depressing things about that was the fact that it took both me and my friend several months of combined effort to beat that sucker. Heh, I do remember that one time we tried to see what would happen if we opened the star fissure early... |

Kingdom Hearts 2 has kind of a sad ending, although it's not at the end of the game. At the beginning of the game, you play as Roxas and he is told he was never meant to exist. It turns out he was only created to be the Keyblade master until Sora was awoken. The last few scenes of Roxas are of him saying how much he envied Sora (because Sora had a real life) and Roxas ceasing to exist. |

That was sad, but not as sad as in one of those old Mario games where you could play as Luigi. They, like, made it where if you win as Luigi, Peach cheats on Mario. Poor Mario.

http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=114 (Warning this is not exactly "clean") You don't have to feel sad about Mario after all. |

Let me put it this way: Wind Waker. Just like about 45.8% of the people here. I had a feeling of accomplishment, yet also I felt saddenend over his death, yet glad they would find the new Hyrule. I find it as a satsifying way of explaining the geography change. Still horribly sad, though. |

Alexander wrote: Shadow of the Colossus-2005, Playstation 2. I couldn't play this game for over a week after I "won" it. The plot was so cleverly hidden. Revealing everything after its too late. But it did have a small bit of hope. Alexander wrote: Riven-PC Computer, Cyan.
Seeing the world of Riven completly fall apart was both spectacular, scary, and sad. |
