this is a topic honoring past nintendo and the games we will never forget, i wanted to make a topic to discuss past Nintendo generally and not make one for a specific series or game.


I only have 2 rules:
1:Must talk about nintendo
2: NO TALKING ABOUT THE WII

i will get started.

i am to young to remember the SNES or anything else so i can only remember the N64, so to me the games i loved were Ocarina of Time(duh), SSB (duh again), and two games not many remember and liked, Mario Tennis and Gauntlet Legends.

I am old enough to remember the original 8-bit Nintendo when it first came out. I spent many an hour playing Super Mario Brothers with my friend, Stephen. We also liked Top Gun a lot, and Duck Hunt.

Ahhh, fond memories.

Man, landing that airplane was hard. Especially if you're 6. I don't think I ever managed to refuel mid-air.

yeah i had a Nessie. we played duck hunt a lot. (tears) i have to go i have a...food. in the oven. sobsobsobsob.

oooo... i have neighbors that have a NES i have played duckhunt and a little bit of an old Zelda game they are still fun.

BattleToads for the NES is still my favorite.

My family, more accurately my sisters and I, are Nintendo freaks. We has the NES, SNES, N64, a million Game Boys, and the Gamecube. Of the retro, I love the first Zelda game, Duck Hunt, Metroid, and Mario pantheon. Those games bring back great memories...

I probably spent most of my childhood playing with the NES.
I still spend quite a lot of money/time doing things with it. Recently I bought a cartridge converter which allows you to play smaller cartridge (i.e. Japanese NES/Famicom games) games (My NES is also modified so it's region-free).

So let's see... Excluding the games and the console itself, I've got a Game Genie, three controllers, two joysticks, an Advantage (arcade-styled controller), the cartridge converter and an orange Zapper.

I remember playing Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 on my Uncle's SNES...they still have it, along with a NES, but I can't get them working when I visit. Darn.

Boy, you know what game I remember fondly from kidlettehood? Pilotwings 64! That game was a blast. The Jumblehopper was the best thing ever. I want a pair of those in real life!

My dad and I also discovered a cool secret while we were playing with the Jetpack. In the Little States, you can go inside an airplane hanger in Florida and end up in Texas! It's wild!

Ahhh...the classic nintendo. My Grandpa has one. Original Mario, Duck Hunt, and Paper Boy. Great games.

but, my friend has a NES.
i wanted to get a NES, but all the pawn shop had was a controller. for three dollars. all i had was two. they wouldn't drop it.
that's why i don't have it.

I have a used game store literally right behind my house. They have an old school NES for, like, 30 bucks.

HEY!!! i live in Texas!!! and My friend has that game but i have never figured out how to play it that well


Anyways does anybody remember "Quest 64"? that game was the best.

I love the old Nintendo games. I still love to play Super Mario 3. For such an old game, it still rocks as much as the games that are out today, if not more.

Ah, Nintendo. Some of my fondest childhood memories...

I was too young to have a NES, but luckily my brother had one. He also had a whole bunch of classic games for it. He once borrowed the console and the games from a friend and the friend didn't want them back (What a weirdo...). It was awesome. I had the most fun with Bionic Commando, TMNT3 (one of the most fun 2 player beat-em-ups) and SMB3.

I got an SNES for my 5th birthday. This console was dazzling. I still think of it as my favorite console. Plus I could already read English at the time, so I grew really fond of RPGs. And I had some luck with getting games. Nintendo doesn't bring their stuff to where I live, but one shop had a bunch of cool games, probably imported straight from America.
My favorites were Super Mario All-Stars, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid and LoZ: ALttP.

I also once got a N64 from Finland, but I have, like, 5 games on it. Ah, at least that includes Ocarina of Time, which is one of THE best games ever.

If I would ever make a "My favorite 100 games" list, most of the games would be on the SNES or NES.

Check eBay. You can usually find tons of NES stuff (ranging from the consoles to all sorts of neat rarities) from there.

Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros. 1 2 and 3. Lots of good stuff.

Ah, one of the best games for NES. I laughed out loud when I saw the parody of that password/training montage scene in the e-mail "montage" for the first time.

i still have "Mario and the 6 golden Coins" for my gameboy and some other mario game, i play those when i can't sleep at night.

My mom and I still play that together. She's pretty cool. Sometimes she even beats me at Mario Kart!

I was cleaning out my garage today with my mom and guess what I found? My old NES. I was, like, about to explode because I was so happy. xD

I thought my mom had thrown it out. When my brother firt got it...It took us, like...17 (or more) tries to get it to play this dopey baseball game. It was fun, though.

Wahaha...I love the controllers. They're just little rectangles.

I played the N64 a lot. Actually...that's probably, like...my favourite gaming system of all time. SCREW GOOD GRAPHICS. THE GAMES WERE WAY TOTALLY FUN.

MARIO TENNIS WAS, LIKE...THE EPITOME OF ALL FUNNESS.

The first Nintendo I got was a Super Nintendo, or SNES. It rocked the socks. My favorite games on there were Super Mario World (one and two), and The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. Oh, what great games they were. There were also a ton of awesome games as well. Super Mario All-Stars was cool.

Ah, nostalga. I loved the SNES.
