me·lee n. a noisy, confused fight or hand-to-hand struggle among a number of people brawl n. a rough, noisy quarrel or fight; row The second Super Smash Bros. game was titled "Melee". The second is titled "Brawl". Now that we know that we know how Nintendo is naming the SSB games, what do you guys think the fourth in the series will be called? The synonyms for "melee" and "brawl" (taken from thesaurus.com) are: affray, altercation, argument, battle, battle royal, bickering, broil, brush, clash, disorder, dispute, donnybrook, feud, fight, fracas, fray, free-for-all, fuss, hassle, knock-down-drag-out, quarrel, rhubarb, riot, row, ruckus, ruction, rumble, rumpus, scrap, scrimmage, scuffle, set-to, skirmish, squabble, tumult, tussle, uproar, words, wrangle The only things I can pick out of that are "Super Smash Bros. Tussle", "Super Smash Bros. Riot", or "Super Smash Bros. Rumble". What are your thoughts? Personally, I would LOVE "Super Smash Bros. Ruckus". And "Super Smash Bros. Donnybrook" or "Super Smash Bros. Knock-Down-Drag-Out" would be hilarious too. But those might not go down too well. |

I think this is far to early for consideration. We're just starting with Brawl. And we barely know anything about that game. Though if I was going to pick a name, it would be "Angel". I just think it works really well.

The word Angel doesn't really make me think of fighting....

Woah, calm down there, tigers! The third one hasn't even come out yet!
Although I guess there are a lot of good words Nintendo could use if we ever get to a fourth one... |

I think it's becuase of Pit. He reminds me of an Angel. In Japan, it's going to be called "X". Because the director though the game was a sort of cross-over. Something that would never be possible. |

Ha. Roffle waffles. Thinking about it, "Super Smash Bros. Riot" sounds great. "Onslaught" sounds cool too, whoever said that. |
