Y'know what? The forum is kinda' wierd without Clan now that I think of it. No more horrible fanfics. Although the first fanfic I ever appeared in was his, and it was FUNNY. I was just finishing teaching the grammar lesson, and I'm suddenly attacked for no reason! It's like the StarWars prequels put in a Sonic/Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic. I always wanted to have an IM conversation with him tohugh, because it seems like something unworldly.

I was browsing the forum and I saw that there was no name written for "last post by" in the forum games. I looked at the date and it said the last post was January 1, 1970.

Okaaay.

We should totally have a "1970's Day" to commemorate all the messed up, 70's-ish dates that occasionally pop up in the forum.

I have a real-life what the crap moment.

Yesterday the forecast was calling for thunderstorms, which is all cool. At about 4:00 while I was at work, the sky started to get dark until it looked like nighttime outside. Then the rain started. It was crazy! Thunder, lightning, ridiculous winds. The rain lasted for about an hour or so. My shift was over at 5:30, and just before I was getting ready to go, I took a phone call from one of our managers.

She had gone shopping after work, and while she was in the store, a power line came down right on top of her car! Luckily she wasn't in there, especially because she has a heart condition! Anyway, she had to wait until Sudbury Hydro could get there to make sure everything was safe. She's all right, but I don't know what shape her car is in.

Then I watched the late news last night, and saw footage from all over the northern part of the province showing trees down, and barns which had collapsed, and all kinds of damage all over the place.

I guess I'm lucky in that my friends and family are all fine, but it just freaks me out, because things like that don't happen around here. Usually our weather is pretty boring. In some areas around the city they were warning of the possibility of tornados. The last tornado that came even near our city was sometime in the early '70s.

Holy crap!

Strong Man is killing that innocent pilot.

And that's terrible.

I mean, he's stabbing him with a freaking Telephone pole! Hey, Strong Man, people need to make phone calls with that thing!

i remember one time, there was a tree in the front yard and mom said, "tommorrow, i'm chopping down that tree." that night there was a heavy storm and the next morning, the tree was gone. it had been ripped out of the ground, and blown away by the wind. nothing else was damaged. how weird is that?

Accually, I'm wondering why he's batteling a helicopter.

Most helicopters don't commit evil.

It's probably being remote controlled by an evil, um... um... OK, most comics are insane. Never mind.

I remember reading something about this one small comic series that was about the people who had to clean up after our favorite superhero's catastrophic battles. Now that would be a crummy job if ever there was one.

Hee hee.

In one episode of The Powerpuff Girls, the career day, one of the parents is an insurance agent for Townsville. He was quoted as saying, "I am a very busy man."

I dunno, I see December 31, 1969 more often than anything in the 1970's. Maybe we should have 1969 day. THAT would be fun.

Actually, we should have a 1969 week... With a festival. We could start one day with Jones playing the national anthem on guitar with his teeth.

That's a flag pole.

That little kobby thing on it is where they tie the rope so the flag doesn't come down.

So, what did the helicopter do to deserve a flag pole beating?

EDIT: Also, why does he bend back the big minute hand?

Part of the Wikipedia entry on "Just One Bite" episode of Spongebob.

Quote:
This episode was edited after the September 11, 2001 attacks due to a scene depicting the Krusty Krab secruity system, in which a bucket of gasoline is lit aflame by a robotic hand with a match, burning the Krusty Krab, although a reason was never officially announced by Nickelodeon. Some believe that a more likely reason it was cut, is simply that it showed children that gasoline can be ignited by a match. Although it had nothing to do with hijacking or airplanes, it was thought to feature a form of sneaky terrorism. Some DVD releases of this episode have the edited version as well as broadcast versions. The VideoNow versions have this scene intact, however. Though it has been seen on television for the first few airings. The uncut episode still airs on YTV however.

I knew it had been edited, but didn't know this was the reason. Sneaky terrorism? That's just dumb.

Reminds me of War of the Flowers, in which there was a scene uncannily like the 9/11 stuff. The author says he edited it to make it less like that, but the resemblance is still very noticeable.

Yep. Uncle 'Raddy made it all go away!

As for MySpace, Ian, their servers are in California, you know, where they have electrical problems... Long story short, they had some problems and said problems broke one or more of their servers (well, it shut them down, anyway).

As best as I can tell, all of those problems would be fixed if the tree hugging hippie liberals out there would let the money hungry neocons destroy the planet by building more power plants (thus making their oil buddies richer), or something like that.
