It was okay. Terrible compared to the book.

I hate all the documentaries about it. IT. IS. FICTION. THERE IS NO TRUTH BEHIND IT.

Yes, why is the church spending all this time and money debunking fiction? Seems to me like they have something to hide....

They're not debunking fiction, just trying to stop fiction from being presented as fact.

Presented as a work of fiction (which, supposedly, was Brown's intention), it sounds kinda cool. Presented as fact, not so much...

Everyone... If you're gonna make posts that consist only of things like "Oh snap", please don't post.

It's kinda this weird, indescribable ickyness that no human should ever sport.

It's not as bad as that chick from Blade III, but the make up artist still needs to be punished.

I won't see the movie. I think that is someone's false interpretation to explain events that may or may not happen.

I remember my dad watching The Soup, and they interviewed the guy's creepy hair. Just a floating thing of hair, with the actor's outline. XD

Anyways, it's just fiction.

I saw the movie the other day. It was... okay.

I guess I need to see it again because I'm pretty sure that Tom Hanks said something about ducks calling him 'flat footed'. So from that point onwards, I stopped concentrating and tried to work out why on EARTH he said that.

Flat-footed means unprepared or unable to react quickly. Ducks have very flat feet. Basically he's saying that he's very unprepared, or something like that.

Yeah but... the DUCKS called *him* flat footed? I just didn't understand why they threw that in there since it didn't really fit.

I saw it. From a movie-making viewpoint, it was a'ight. A bit long, though.

I'm glad you guys all realize that it's fiction. The stupid thing is, some people believe it as fact...

oh sorry. is that from bonus stage? i can't remember.

you wouldn't believe how any of my classmates are always saying 'you know the da vinci code? it's true. there are secrets in the paintings'. ugh. i feel like lisa from the episode of the simpsons with the angel skeleton.

Apart from the debate, which is incredibly stupid, the movie was even stupider. "Here, let me tell you about how my parents crashed into a truck. Now do you feel better?" "Yes." And "I am Tom Hanks. Do you remember the time when I had more than two facial expressions and two tones of voice? Neither can I."

Heh. Ouch. Actually, while I think Tom Hanks is still a decent actor, he was on auto-pilot through this whole movie. Not that I can really blame him, every other thing out of his mouth was exposiiton. Overall it was a pretty mediocre movie made from a mediocre book.

As for the whole controversy behind it, I could care less.

Dan Brown (writer of Davinci Code) stated that it was fiction. So the Opus Dei (yes they are real) should stop bugging this book.

Sniff.... Tom Hanks turned so ugly...

But I will go see the movie.. Eventually. If I can be bothered. I hate all the fuss they made about it.

Because not everyone knows its fiction. If we didnt talk against it, then more people would belive it. There is seriously loads of people dumb enough to belive a book that says that its fiction right on it.

Very good point, Cyco.

Another case in point: LEFT BEHIND! Look at how many people take that seriously, even though it's just a piece of fiction?

And don't even get me started on Cthulhuism.

Today at church my pastor talked for a short bit about this book and movie. He baisicly answered all your questions.

"Why do we preach against it? well, there was this one guy speaking on tv about it, and when asked this question replied, 'if someone made a novel about your own mother, and it was saying she was a prostitute and a very bad person, even though it was just fiction, wouldnt you want to let everyone know its fake?'"

Also, statistics say 1/3 people that read the book belive it to be true...Dont ask how they got it, I'm just the messanger!
