For those of you who like Mozilla Firefox, just thought I'd let you know that version 2.0 (codename Bon Echo) will be going into Beta this month. No definite release date yet, but I have it on good authority that July will very likely see Bon Echo Beta 1 roll out.
I've been using Bon Echo Alpha 3 for a few days now and it's really quite stable. (Not officially stable, of course.) The integrated spellcheck and the improved anti-phishing is really nice. Still some bugs, and there's some features that aren't hooked up yet, but all in all it's looking very good.
The interface hasn't changed, it's still the familiar Firefox UI, but the logo is a blue "globe" ball without the Firefox mascot: That's so people don't confuse the Firefox icon with the Bon Echo icon when it hits Beta. If you ran any of the Deer Park pre-release builds, you've seen this icon before.
Just for a lark I gave the Firefox 3.0 (codename Gran Paridiso)Alpha 1 build a shot. Well, that one turned out to be totally unstable, buggy as hell. Stay away from it, it's not ready from general use.
