Well, you need alot of time to see it all. And if you just watch one episode (like the last one beofre you've seen ones before it.) you wont understand a thing.

But it's really worth watching. I love the self referencing.

"STOP IT! I want things back to normal! Back to anime!"
"Anime?"
"Yes! All these manga scenes take ages to produce! And the camera man has been begging me to stop since episode 1!!"

I have heard that about FLCL. Doesn't FLCL only have 6 episodes?

Yeah, 6 25 minute episodes. But it's fast pased so the anime gets through a big plot in those 6.

I really like Anime. It's cool animation and all that. My favorite shows?

Full Metal Alchemist
FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Yu Yu Hakusho
Ruroni Kenshin
Lupin III
Case Closed (Detective Conan)

Although the last two still make appearences on Adult Swim, they are on way too late (like at four in the AM).

I wish Adult Swim would pick up Gungrave. It would be a hit. It is done by the same guy who made Trigun, Yashihiro Nightow. Then you would see why I like it so much.

Actually, Adult Swim is thinking about picking t up. The thing is that it has much more of a darker theme then Trigun has. It's still really freaking great though.

These are the anime I enjoy. I've seen a few more but not much. Some Rourouni Kenshin, Akira - stuff like that.

Metropolis (movie)
Kiki's Delivery Service (movie)
Laputa: Castle in the Sky (movie)
Nausicaa (movie)
Spirited Away (movie)
Gunsmith Cats (OVA)
Last Exile (series)
Noir (series)
Animatrix (shorts)

Full Metal Alchemist, 12 Kingdoms and some more Hayo Miyazaki films are next on my list to hire/buy.

Dragonball Z is the greatest anime ever. 'Nuff said.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is cool.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX is another cool toon.

As long as Miguzi isn't your only source of that show, I'm cool with that. Might have to kill you if you're a simple American Yu-Gi-Oh fan though :P Changed all the names on that show though....u_u Proud to say I haven't been tempted to watch an entire episode yet. Miguzi took over Toonami's weekday block, so I'm on an eternal boycott from it. I want Toonami 17 hours and SVES back T_T

Anyway, two new likeable animes, which I would most likely not have access to that I saw at Otakon, some odd months back: Jo Jo's Bizare Adeventure and Otaku no Video. Both awesome, the latter one being a classic-type thing.

This has already been posted, so I'll just merge it into that thread.

Granted, it's an old thread...but I love necromancy, so whatever.

Whoa, those are some awesome shows there. Bebop is one of the most brilliant anime's out there, and Nightow is a cretive genius.

Ugh...I hate anime. Looks so unrealistic and stupid. (And my eyes would be reaaaaal tiny when closed and RIDICULOUSLY HUGE when open.) (I would have, like, robot boots.) (Oh yeah, and blue hair.) No offense or anything, I'd just rather look at art that's drawn how people actually look not all this huge fake wide-eyed stuff. And aren't, like, tons of the stuff that you people posted, like, for little kidlets or something?

I wouldn't be talking, you're in fifth grade, right? I'm in high school, that doesn't mean I can't like little kids shows. And you do know that Alien 9 is rated MA, World of Narue is TV-14, and FMA is either PG-TV-14, same with Cowboy Bebop. One Piece and Zatch Bell are cool, yo.

*cough* You're, like, 11, right? Who are you to tell people they shouldn't be watching stuff made for little kids?

No offence.

Okay, unless you're talking about the SD style of anime drawing, you're way off. Anime people often do look like people. Plus, you're going to be hard pressed to find a quality show that has humans looking perfectly like humans. People in the Simpsons don't look any more human than people from anime.

Samurai Champloo, FMA, Witch Hunter Robin, Trigun, Gungrave, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Case Closed, and just about 80% of the animes mentioned in this thread are at least rated PG-13.

I'm not to much into anime or manga. I watch it(or read it) occasionaly, but I'm not a huge fan. I like watching DBZ from time to time, but I'm reallin to this show on Toonami right now call Bo-bo-bo-bo whatever. I can' t remember how many Bo's. But it's fricken hilarious!! I can't get enough of that show! There's practically no plot at all, which makes it so funny. Does anyone else watch this? And I've read the Manga, too.

You'd enjoy Azumanga Daioh then. It's a riot. xD

Am I the only one who's sick of hearing about Inuyasha? Seriously, it's mediocre at best, but it's disproportionatly (hope I spelled that right) popular.

I'll try it out. When's it on, and what network? Or is it a manga?

Well, it's a manga. I don't know if they air it in the States, and I know I haven't seen it up here in Canada.

BUT! You can find all the episodes online here (no torrent required; they're all on YouTube style players): http://www.keiichianimeforever.com/anim ... mangadaioh

Well, I like InuYasha, but really only the manga. The show is on a little too late, and the voices are wrong in my opinion. But I really do love the manga!

Another manga I like it Toko Mew Mew. Yes, a bit childish, but I still love it!
