Another manga I like it Toko Mew Mew. Yes, a bit childish, but I still love it!

Is Toko Mew Mew a Shojo manga?

My favorite genera of manga is Shojo.

But I like other genera's as well.

Oh, yes. I adore Anime and Manga. But I think I've stated that.

Some of my favorite non-series feature films com from Studio Ghibli. But I'm sure everyone knows about them. I've seen eight films:
Spirited Away
Grave of the Fireflies
Omohide Poro Poro
Pom Poko
Nausicaa and the Vally of the Wind
Laputa: Castle in the Sky
Wisper of the Heart
And My Neighbor Totoro.

I have other non-ghibli films, but I think I'll mention them later.

I'm always looking for manga directed at children or just plainly Shojo manga.

I've also heard of this manga called "FLCL." I've looked at it and it looks very strange yet interesting. I need to ask the question, is there anything adult centered in the series? If there is then I'm not reading it.

Woah! I thought I was the only Azumanga Daioh fan here. I've got the whole series on my computer. It's the japanese version with subtitles. Man what a funny series.

All I'll say about InuYasha is that it's been on way, way, too long. The series should have ended at Mt. Hakurei.

In my opinion, it's now more of a Shojo than a Shonen.

There are hardly any anime's on tv where i am and its rubbish. Though i have seen and liked One Piece, Outlaw Star and Dragonball Z (Japanese with subtitles, not the dubs).

I hate anime sooooooooooooooooo much. Ugh. The kids at my school who watch it are really, really weird. It just creeps me out. I just don't see what's so great about it. As strong bad says: They gotta have eyes that are way too big, and a teeny tiny mouth when it's closed, but overly gigantic when it's open.

The animes really like are:

Slayers
Fruits Basket
Sailor Moon (japanese)
DBZ (Japanese)

DBZ and Sailor Moon are actually pretty good shows when you watch them in their origonal form. The dubs not only suck but give them a horrible 1st impression to noth non-anime and anime fans.

Anyways...that's my list

That was one of the very first anime's that I watched that got me hooked on anime. I remember watching it in Japanese with the subtitles at 11pm on a Sunday night.

Maybe someone here can explain something to me:

Why is it that so often Anime doesn't feel the need to actually animate anything?

Now I realize that there are many wonderfully animated anime films out there.

But there are a bunch that are about 3 frames every minute. They don't bother to animate people's mouths moving as they talk, and they change positions 3 times a scene. Speed Racer comes to mind.

What's up with that?

A budget is what's up with that.

Well, you also have to realize Lahi that Speed Racer was made back in 1967. The animation now is a lot smoother now than compared to back then.

I've heard enough about it that I feel like givin' it a whirl. Right after Bleach and Excel Saga, of course. xP

ALEXANDER, YOU HAVE SEEN WHISPER OF THE HEART! YOU LUCKY LUCKY THING!!!!! AAAUUGGHHHH!
I love anime and manga, and kinda feel like I might even want to be an animator when I grow up.
If I eventually get good enough. My first flash is hilariously bad, I'm teaching myself how to use flash at school and it's not going well...

Well, I like Inu-Yasha. It's not my favourite, but I like it. I also haven't neen many Ghibli films (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke), but I like 'em. I also like Fullmetal Alchemist, and while it is not really considered an anime show, The Boondocks.

FLCL is great. Period. There are a couple of adult things you might see there, but nothing like "ZOMG PR0N!"

It's pretty cool, some might say it's too eccentric(but between you and me, they're are just a bunch of squares).

Man...I loved Outlaw Star and which one was it? Gundam wing? Man...all the cool anime shows had to die, so lame ones could take their place.

Schmelen, I think you want to see this film very much so. I could send my copy of the DVD to you if you would like that. It's very sweet. That's all I'm going to say. I don't like to spoil anything.

Well, I suppose I'll try FLCL, based upon what you've all said. But I'm still concerned.

I'm also going to start reading Fruit Basket, Marmalade Boy, and Toko Mew Mew at my Barnes & Noble. Which has the best selection of manga in my city.

Does anyone else think that manga isn't a comic book, but more like a graphic novel?

Well it litarally translates to 'Comic or Cartoon', so no. :P

But I see were you're coming from.

FLCL is well worth the watch. It's a great anime, and a darn good manga too.

Well, I tried reading FLCL. But it was just too odd for me.

And the swearing wasn't very helpful.

Instead, I'm reading Azumanga Daioh right now. It's a grand school girl anime series.

I actually just finished watching the entire series of outlaw star last night. I got the complete series dvd. Now I'm gonna watch the big O complete series.

I filled a binder (I keep all my dvds in a binder) with anime dvds alone in the past month. I just got a job that pays about $300 a week for like 3 day of work. I'll finally be able to finish my cowboy bebop, trigun, planetes, and gundam 08th MS team series collections.

Speaking of cowboy bebop, I found this quite entertaining, as it had both bill, and his pokemon rap thing,. I love that song. My favorite anime song is the animatrix soundtrack. Good stuff.

Have anyone seen/heard of an old(1980s) mecha anime series called Dougram: Fang of the Sun?
I know some of the 'mechs in Dougram by their Battletech(non-anime) names such as the "unseen" Battlemaster(derived from the Bigfoot Combat Armor from Dougram).

Let's see... I love Fullmetal, but it's over. I really like Naruto when it isn't fillers, like it is now.

DBZ... meh. I don't care much for it. It's too simplistic, and every arc is the same.

Gundam Wing was good, but I hate all the other Gundam series, especially G Gundam. I thought the whole premise of G Gundam was utter crap.

I've only seen a few episodes of Bleach, but I really like it. It kinda reminds me of Yu Yu Hakusho... only, ya know, good.

Oh, and Inuyasha sucks.

Oh, and Inuyasha sucks.

I used to watch gundam wing when I was a kid. I dont remember much of it, but what I do remember was that it was good. I borrowed endless waltz from a friend last year, and it was good. I liked gundam:0080, because it had a nice storyline, and was only 6 episodes. And I agree about G gundam. It just wasnt my favorite.
Inuyasha is overrated. I used to watch inuyasha when it was on adult swim last year, and it was too repetitive. I dont really hate it, but I did hate the fact that adult swim routinely cancels shows like cowboy bebop and fullmetal after a month, but they kept inuyasha on all year.

Good thing that I didn't see Inuyasha.
I used to watch G-Force when I was a kid, ah, good times.
I've also like Robotech: The Macross Saga, that series rocked IMO.

Yup, I got the whole series on DVD. Besically, I hate waiting for episodes to come on, or missing episodes, so I just watch a few episodes, and if I like it, I buy it. Macross owned, and I bought it before the actual macross series came out in america. Now I have to get that. I heard the second robotech saga (Masters) wasnt the best, But I still feel like getting it, especially since the new robotech movie is coming out.
