I'm surprised that no-one's said MTV. Does it even play music anymore? And no, rap does not count as music.

As a connoisseur of the cartoons (from a deep-seated disliking of live-action growing up) I will have to say that Cartoon Network has, as of now, died. Or at least, it should be dead. They completely ruined their Cartoon Cartoon deal, and completely scrapped so many shows and ideas that were what made them so great. They used to have all the classics on at normal times (Flintstones, the Jetsons, Scooby Doo) but now it seems they've all been banished. The same with their actually Cartoon Cartoons (a title only given to their best shows). What was once a ranking of only three shows is now way too many, and all of the originals that actually were good - Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Jonny Bravo - have seemingly vanished. Plus, they've taken on far too many bad anime shows (more than one), thrown out their Prime time format (the best shows when YOU'RE ACTUALLY HOME X-( ), and are just... ugh with thatever pidgeon-typing organization that they're dealing with now. Sure, I'm probably getting too wrapped up in this, but CN was one of my favorite channels of all time growing up, and it's more than a little dissapointing to see it go down the tubes.

And while i'm at it, the Pokemon TV show. THe first season rocked, the latter half of the second was alright, and portions of the next few were fine, but once Ash went through the Johto League it all went to junk. Yeah, I've been watching the show that long, so what? Roffle, apparently, the networks have actually banned some of my favorite episodes since their first viewing. That should do wonders for continuity :p

I miss having Toonami on every day. It was way better when it was always on. However, I can't completely fault its replacement in Miguzi, because is shows Zatch Bell daily and run Code Lyoko, which is without a doubt my favorite thing to ever come out of France.

Cartoon Network isn't as good as it was, but there's still Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, which is very good. But I will say, after Megas XLR left, the show lost quite a bit of appeal.

But one show I can deffinitely think of is Toonami.

Back in 1997 to 2003 the show was one of the best places I knew of to find Anime series. They would show the usual popular shows like Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Gundam but sometimes...

They would show very obscure Anime films and series. One of these was Cyborg 009. It's now one of my favorite Anime series today, and I have Toonami to thank for it. They also would host marathons that would lead to obscure films and series I had never heard of. In 2003 they had a marathon called "Giant Robot Week." It was my first time I had ever heard of the series "Neon Genesis Evangelion". After I saw the first episode on Toonami, I wanted to see more. But I never did, because I didn't know the series name. Today I hope to see the series.

Unfortunetly, Toonami is no longer like this. Instead of being shown weekly it's now only shown on the weekend. And to make matters worse, it shows Anime series that I have no interest in.

Edit: EEK! A triple post on the same subject!

Nah, man, Signs was a major let-down. What's the deal with Shyamalan and water, anyways? It's, like, a major thing in all his movies except for Sixth Sense and The Village...but he emphasized the color red in those two.

Well, they say that all artists have their "things," and a lot of them do. Maybe his "things" are just water. And possibly the color red.

First, amen to someody saying cartoon network. They showed this show zim (not invader zim) and half the time it was animated. And if you want to watch the good ones like dexter labstory or courage the cowardly dog, gotta stay up late. As much as fosters is a good show, Ben 10 is so bad that it makes the next 4 channels ahead of it bad. Of course those are my spanish channels....

Oh and Pokemon and digimon are good examples too.

Simpsons. Pokemon. Teen Titans (I hate to say it, but most of season 5 sucked). Music.

Pokemon. Digimon. Nickelodeon.

Cartoon Network has definitely gone down the tubes as of late. Ed Edd n' Eddy has not been as good since they started doing school episodes. Their new cartoons are really bad, too. I mean, Squirrel Boy? Come on. The main characters's (the boy's) voice makes my ears want to bleed. Not to mention his head is insanely deformed. It makes me sad that Richard Horvitz would waste his time with it.

The only redeeming feature of CN is Billy and Mandy. That is the single greatest American-made animation on television right now.

My cousin was suckered in recently, and bought Neopets Premium. You know how she had to cancel? She had to call Neopets, go through a ten-minute hold, a five minute thing where they tried to convince her not to cancel, ten more minutes of getting her information, and a goodbye. But she called at the wrong time: they billed her for another month because she called in a three-day-period of something. Never was there a company so money hungry that they made it THAT hard to cancel before Neopets.

That reminds me of the guy who tried to cancel his AOL account....

Hey, awesome! I just named another thing that went from cool to cra- Oh wait, nevermind. AOL was NEVER cool.

Other things like that:
Pokémon - I'm not saying it DID, but that's pretty much what everyone else thinks.
Um, That's Pretty Much It™.

And Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy is a cool show. Don't diss it. However, anything on Miguzi or Toonami sucks eggs. Seriously, that stuff is just pukeworthy. However, Pokémon is admittedly a guilty pleasure.

Still, I think Futurama is a far better show. I haven't watched The Simpsons in a while, but the last episode I watched wasn't even funny. It used to be that the show cracked me up, but apparently things have gone downhill. Futurama is coming back to TV, but it'll be a year or so.

Ace, I'm calling that period of time where all the animated shows are really bad sometihng that I forgot right now. There's tons of shows that have been introduced in that time: Atomic Betty, Squirrel Boy, and Martin Mystery, to name a few.

But CN aslo has some other redeeming qualities like Foster's(I like it anyways.) and Ben 10(Original plot and good animation). Billy and Mandy is of course the other thing saving it.

I remember that things all went downhill when they brought Atomic Betty to CN. The horror.

Uuuuhg. Don"t remind me of Atomic Betty. That show is just... Ugggh... *twitch* Although, I have to admit, I used to think Totally Spies was kind of funny is a lame way. Then the voice actors of Alex and Jerry got replaced.

Yeah. I forgot about Atomic Betty. Probably because I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE WATCH IT.

Good Cartoon Network Shows:
FHIF
Ed, Edd, and Eddy
Billy & Mandy (probably the best)
Um, what else? Well, the older shows like Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo.
Camp Lazlo (well, I like it)
Actually, that's about it for now, really. Shame. Well, that crossover fanfic was a stupid idea anywa- I MEAN NOTHING! NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

I'm serious, I was planning on it. Oh well.

Let me weigh in on this CN talk. I used to love CN. Ed, Edd, and Eddy was the best show ever. I haven't seen the School episodes though. Courage was also another great toon. But right now, I don't watch much of any TV anymore. But with it's addition of Pee-Wee's Playhouse, it has jumped up many spots in my opinion.

We're not saying that the show in general is bad. I love the first three seasons! But I feel that after they started to go to school, it started to loose it's unique quality. And the unique quality was the fact that they lived in an endless summer, and their parents were never shown.

It's like seeing snoopy act like a normal dog, or seeing Mario with guns. It just doesn't fit.

I'm not saying change is bad though. After all, I've seen many new additions to old series that have benifited them. Like the discovery of Phazon in Metroid Prime. Or Mother 3 having a cowboy named Flint as one of the first main characters. It all worked out well.

But I also feel that the charcters have lost their touch. Eddy is more self-concited and cares little for his friends, Ed has become even more random and encentric which makes him just seem less caring, and Edd has stayed normal for the most part, except he's quite a bit smarter and more easily frightened.

It just feels so different from the orginal attitudes they had. They all cared for each other, and supported each other when no one else seemed to notice them.

But that's just my opinion.

Oh, and Curage is still my favorite series. The animation was VERY unique. And some of the stories were very lovely. My personal favorite is "The Tower of Dr. Zalost".

Here's a new one I thought of, Garfield. I officaly think Mr. Jim Davis just wants to use him as a way to make money.

He does. He said it himself that he designed Garfield to be as marketable as possible by making the strips as unoffensive as possible and branching Garfield out to everything he could.

2] A show that's all in never ending summer, if all the episodes are in that format, wouldn't a school episode be unique for that?

Not trying to offened, just my point of view...

Teh Ch8t, I'm not offended. Your giving your opinion as well as mine.

But I really don't feel the need to be concerned with this anymore. Everyone has an opinion.

Here's another one I just thought of.

Star Fox

Wasn't very good on the Gamecube.

Rap. Don't tell me that rap was always terrible, 'cause it wasn't. Fiddy cent and Eminem can die a slow and painfull death, as far as I'm concerned...

I agree. Plus, it's still funny. The new school episode where they parody newspapers and tabloid-style make-stuff-up journalism was great!

I forget where I'm stuck in that game. But I'mma agree with Alec, I always loved the N64 game much better. I can't wait for the one for the DS, plus the Wi-Fi dogfights. Rawkness. XD
