Hey, just because you haven't jumped on the Yankee$, White Sox,or Red Sox bandwagons doesn't mean he should diss you.
Keep in mind that I'm not calling all Yankees, Red Sox, or White Sox fans bandwagon fans, but it always disgusts me that people who claim to be fans are only fans of winning teams. It was especially annoying a couple years ago when Cubs "fans" my age, who claimed to be fans "since they were born" didn't know who Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace were. I grew up a Cubs fan, but switched to the Braves when I was about 8 or 9 (they were still a crap team, like, so bad that people in Atlanta would have been happy to see them playing like they are this season) because I hated the Reds and the Braves embarassed the Reds, but the Cubs didn't (my family used to have Reds season tickets, and I would always get dragged along, so I cheered for whatever team they played.) After the strike, it took me a while to get back into baseball. I did, though, and came back to the Braves.
Fortunately, right now, the Braves and Packers don't have any of those fans. That will change, soon enough, I suppose. How many patriots fans will still have patriots hats when they go 3-13?
What about when the Yankees don't even make Wildcard?
So, yeah... somewhere in there, you should get that I'm a Braves fan (although, I admit, I've not been a good one. After opening day (Baseball opening day is close enough to a religious holiday), I didn't watch another full game until Friday's "let's see how many runs we can score" thing against the Padres.
