How much money do you spend on average every week (if you're one of the oldbies, don't include mandatory payments) Me... about 0.50$ on average a week. I just can't find many things I would like. |

Well, depending. I buy a lot of clothes... I'd say it's about $30 a week if I limit my spending to coffee, cigarettes, and food, but it can get up to $100+ a week if I need to shop. Today I spent about eighty or so. Yikes. |

Oh, come on! People know about the risks, stop telling them. They've heard about it a thousand times. If they choose to smoke, let the baby have it's bottle. I never spend money rarely. About once every coupla months I would buy a few video games. That's it. |

I've been going out more lately, so spending more... boo. If I go out locally I can normally get a lift so no cab fare, but if we go to the city, it's quite costly. Not including board and petrol, I would probably spend $50-100 a week. Sometimes a little more. |

The trouble with that is it's hard to draw the line between "mandatory" and otherwise. For example, most people would say that groceries are mandatory, 'cause you gotta eat--but last night when I got groceries, I spent a couple bucks on a bag of chocolate chips so I can make cookies. I definitely don't need to make cookies, but I don't necessarily need milk or fruit or ground beef or cereal, either. We spent just over $1,600 last month, most of it "mandatory" (rent, electricity, phone, internets--yes, that's mandatory for me, it's how I make my living--loan payments, insurance, etc.), some of it not, but I'll be darned if I can figure out where to draw the line. |

I have some money to spend, but I like to save it for big stuff. I want to get a car sometime soon. I usually buy computerish stuff. I kind of want a GPS watch too. Or when I'm in the mountains and the air is supposed to feel really good. I'd be happy if I never had to sniff another one of those again.

That may be true, but some of us have a speical condition. I'm allergic to it. My eyes will start to tear and eventually I'll have a burning itching feeling if I spend too much time in it, and my thought will start to dry up and eventually I'll have a burning sore thought feeling. So not all of us can be in it. Back on topic. My spending methods go into all directions. Sometimes I spend nothing, and sometimes I spend quite a bit. Currently I haven't been spending anything. |

I usually spend about $50-$100 a week. I make about $300 a week, working at a cemetery, so it isnt too much. Lately, I havent soent too much, because I am saving up for my new computer, and possibly lightwave. I can finally get some animation done, and get my new series started. I pick up the new computer on thursday. about $600. I expect to pay about $100 tommorrow at barnes and noble on random stuff. This has been an expensive week. |

I'm like Jones, it's hard to figure out what's mandatory. If you call, rent, power, cable/internet, cell phone, and groceries/food mandatory, then I don't spend a lot on non-mandatory things. Of course, I probably spend more on food than I actually have to (I spend $10 on lunch, instead of going to McDonald's for a $4 lunch, etc..) My non-mandatory spending revolves around weekly bowling, cold ones, a DVD every now and then, and going to the occasional movie. Everything else goes to the Ty's 42 Inch DLP TV fund (which is pretty close to the target), the wedding/honeymoon fund, or repaying my student loan early. |

Thanks, Alec and Rammod. I always get crap from my mom about "how I should save it up and buy something I really want." I agree, and when I save up a pretty high amount, I tell her. And she says "What do you want to use it for?" "...... Animal shelter." Good times. I only WISH I was old enough to volunteer at shelters. I pine for the day when I can drive myself up to the shelters and help some animals out.

I buy fastfood/junk food eveytime Im out with friends. It depends on the week though. I also usally wast near 60 - 70 bucks on a tourny every 2 - 3 months. And games every 2 - 3 months (I buy mine used to save cash!). |

I might lose my appetite and, eventually, get a headache and begin to feel like vomitting. I get paid 450 every two weeks, but I live with my family (parents & siblings), so I probably spend about 20-100 a week depending on what I'm up to. |
