Yeah, this is of whé more interest to me than video games. You too maybe?
Provide explanations of obscure artists if you like. Whatever, yo. 1. Proxima Estacion Esperanza ~ Manu Chao. French-Spanish-English singer who makes v good summer music. Go find "Bongo Bong" for an example.. 2. Babylon ~ Skindred. Been wanting this for aaaages. Ragga metal, people! How can that NOT be awexome?? 3. How We Operate ~ Gomez. Admittedly their best album's their first one by miiiiles. But I still want this new one. It's Gomez. So it must be good. 4. Sweet Heart Dealer ~ Scarling.. I totally would have bought this by now, but it's shorter than their second album yet more expensive :x 5. So Addictive ~ Missy Elliot. It has Lick Shots and Get Ur Freak On. Therefore I need it. Other stuff includes Some Kind of Strange by Collide, How Strange Innocence by EITS, The Godfather - the Very Best of James Brown, aaaand a replacement copy for all of my old Super FUrry Animals cds that are scratched up beyond all recognition

Artists I like and would like more of to add to my collection? Danny Elfman...'nuff said (If you don't know who this guy is, go look him up on IMDB or DIE!!!!!1!11!!eleventyone) Violaine Corradi...composer of a few of Cirque du Soleil's shows, including my favorite, Varekai. Heather Alexander...Irish singer and violinist with a pretty kick-butt band. Lisa Gerrard...new age composer who's done plenty of film work (including stuff with Hans Zimmer, such as Gladiator and King Arthur) among her other projects. Thomas Newman...another brilliant film composer with big lush string sections, scoring such films as The Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition, and Finding Nemo. October Project...a Celtic group that sounds like somewhere between Sixpence None the Richer and Heather Alexander. Ludo...one of the greatest unknown rock groups of all time. I have their album "Broken Bride," which is a moving rock opera about a man who loses his wife to a car crash in 1989 and works for 15 years to build a time machine to go back in time to save her. Mark Deutsch...brilliant musician, creator of the bazantar (an instrument that is an amalgamation of the sitar and string bass), whose music reflects the native folk music from the northern regions of India, where he studied for some years. Aaron Jay Kernis...another brilliant composer, famous for such works as "Musica Celestis" Amiina...Icelandic group that produce new age music, very relaxing--and they used to play for a band (I think Sigur Ros). |

Babylon was a pretty good album Damik. Though they do tend to sound a bit screamo on one track. Rocket, Fom the Tombs!: I have only heard some of their stuff on Pandora, and I can't for the life of me remember any of the album names. Its a garage-psychedelic kind of band. The Story of Them-Them: Van Morrison's break out band. Good old blues-rock mixed with british invasion. Noah and the Stratocats-Noah and the Stratocats: Local blues band I missed my chance to grab their CD at the last Cincinatti blues fest. |

MARRY ME Oh, wait, that wouldn't be right, can't do that, nope. But, yes, it's definitely an amazing album. The next album I'm planning on buying is Karate High School's Arcade Rock, and I'm also going to buy the live Reel Big Fish album released two days ago and, I dunno, some Be Your Own Pet stuff and maybe some T.A.T.U. and... yeah, I could go on forever. |

ehehe
ooh. and i didnt know about the live RBF. thank you for alerting me
I'm listening to some Hansel, and in a "I think my head broke" way it's quite good. Considering buying a CD of theirs even if it's just to use in some of my more odd Flash animations. |

I'm really looking forward to The Falcon's new album in September. They're a "supergroup", if you will, comprised of Brendan from The Lawrence Arms, Dan from Alkaline Trio, and some other guys. I'm also super psyched for Heavens' album, also in September. That's Matt Skiba (from Alkaline) and some other dude. I'm really excited for Parry Gripp's album to arrive in the mail. I ordered it and it should be here any day. (By the way, everyone should totally click that link to hear "Do You Like Waffles?". It's the kind of goofiness you guys would love.) Parry Gripp is the lead singer of Nerf Herder, and if you don't know them, YOU SHOULD. And, music-related, I also can't wait for my ridonkulawexome Misfits shoes to get here. They're coming with my Parry Gripp CD. |

Let's see. I'd like Art Brut's album. It's stupid, but hilariously stupid. I'd also like to find The Dresden Dolls' A Is For Accident but I doubt that will happen any time soon. And finally, my next album purchace will likely be Catch Without Arms by dredg. |

Steve from blues clues. I'm serious. He went on to do music. He even covered they might be giants. |
