I found this really neat artwork done by a fan of Nintendo. It depicts what the Virtual Console migh be like.

Here is the artwork. Nintendo fans, EAT YOUR HEART OUT.

Man, there are like a million avatar Opportunities on there.

Dude, there's a Simon Belmont Kirby there. That's totally what Kirby's going to look like if and when Simon is a playable character in SSBB.

Ya, I saw it just a while ago. It's one wicked picture. I like that one Hammer Bro who seems to be having a hard time playing his Gameboy. Heh.
Ah, I see a Red Arremer next to Pit. That is probably supposed to represent the GnG games, but it would be cool if the VC had Demon's Crest. I lost mine quite a few months ago.

EDIT: But maybe it represents Gargoyle's Quest... That would be awesome.

EDIT (Dang, another one): Actually, now I'm starting to get a little bit skeptical. This thing could very well be fake... But even if it is, it's still a very impressive picture.

EDIT: Okay, honestly, this is the last edit. It is confirmed to be simply fanart. :-| It's still a terribly cool image though.

I think the promotion is more dedicated to the lesser known characters of video game history.

You'll notice that Mario, Link, Mega Man, Sonic, Tails, Ness, ect, are absent.

But still, I can say that would make one of the neatest posters on earth.

Hee hee...

If you look in the background on the middle left of the picture, you can see Discun in a burning house with Mr. Game & Watch acting surprised.

Though I wonder who the Giant Cat in the upper right corner is. And the giant blue green robot next to it. And who is that monkey with a punching glove?

I accually don't recognize half of those characters in the picture unfortunately.

The Genesis was kind of a 16 bit system.

Well, that laser-shooting giant cat is the Cat Ship from Parodius. And that "monkey", as you put it, is King Hippo from Punch-Out.

Yeah. I love me some Tanooki-suit. I was pretty disappointed at its abscence in New Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario All-Stars is the main thing I want. Everything else comes second.

Also, though I doubt they'll do this, I hope they translate some old SNES titles that were Japan only. Namely, Seiken Densetsu 3, because it pwns so much.

Has anyone else seen the old-school style Wii controller, that looks kinda like a SNES controller? It's pretty pwnsome.

Hey, Wily is in there too and so is the Yellow Devil. The Yellow Devil simply looks like a picture taken from Powered Up!, though.

So apperantly it's fanart. Shame because I would've probably gotten a Wii just so I can get me a taste of old stuff....
