I don't like spam!!!!!![/montypython] I liked Invader Zim because it didn't suck. It was actually funny, not like, "LOL SPONGEBOB IS NEKID" funny, but actual ha-ha-ness. And Nickelodeon hates having good shows. Curse them. Also, I really liked the animation style. It was new, kinda. |

GOK, Invader ZIM is a cartoon, whether John K. likes it or not. It was on Nick. It was animated. The world ended several times for our main characters. And they live. That is what a cartoon is. THAT"S what ZIM is. |

I never liked it as much as everybody else, but I always thought it was a grood show. I once drew a character who was a cross between an Irken and a Pikachu. He was sickeningly adorable. |

The show was not meant for adults! It never was! The first season was fantastic in my eyes. After that it seemed to lose it originality. Should have just been a mini-series. For me Episode 2 where keef gets his eyes ripped out is the high point of the entire thing. After that it was a slow slope downhill. I liked the little touches liek "Game Slave" and Vasquez is an amazing artist. I would not liek ot see Zim back on the air. Though I would love an animated JTHM. |

Uhh...it went downhill after that? Personally, I dislike that episode. A lot. My favorites are later on from that. it had tons of creativity - ZIM gets sent back to Foodcourtia and must escape. Hiom and Dib get turned into bologna. Babies and how they're evil and stuff. A little girl gets trapped on Zim's front laws. A new Irken wants to take Zim's place. I'd take that over annoying Keef any day. And GOK, there's the key word - funded. It's over now, so who gives a crap if I call it a cartoon? Because it WAS a cartoon. I don't care if this John K. says otherwise, it's still a cartoon. |

I saw a few episodes, including one this morning prompted by this thread and I can now say it is REALLY overrated. It's not horrible, but there are better things on TV, and that's saying quite a lot. |

That was the problem. It went over the heads of young children, got low ratings, and was axed. Had they made it for adults, it could have taken off and still been in production today. It's an adult premise, and it was a really stupid idea to get it produced by Nick. Bless. |

^Which is a shame. Adult Swim offered to take it up, too. |

I'm glad that someone understands me. Unfortuneately, the creator is not interested in reviving it. |

Gok, it was meant to be a kids show, but with a twist. Although if it had been more adult, it would've lasted longer. I loved IZ. It was a great alternative to all the crap out on TV. |

I loved IZ. It was a great alternative to all the crap out on TV. I'm always surprised at how long Ren & Stimpy lasted. Man, I loved that show... |

I have Squee's Wonderful Big Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors by Johen (animator/creater of Zim), and for me, the Zim series was just a continuation of his twisted, amazing, humor. I enjoyed 100% of the episodes I saw and still watch (off a not-extremely-official DVD I got at some convention). There never was a "downhill". |

If anyone's interested, I found a great fanmade Zim short. |
