Who here has heard of or uses Guitar Pro 5?

I used the demo version once, and absolutely loved it. I have just recently aquired the full version.

Guitar Pro is a program that allows you to tab out songs for practically any istrument, including drums. Then, once you have finished your composition, you can hit play and Guitar Pro will play the arrangment. It is extremely useful to see if you got the rythms correct.

You can also go to a tab site, then download an already made tab, and can view it on guitar pro. It makes learning....fun!

All in all, this is a really awesome program. I would recomend it for any musician.

I use Finale (though the 2006 version) for printing out music myself, and I use a very outdated version of Cakewalk Express for mixing MIDI files....but I also have the Opus 1 set of samples from the Vienna Symphonic Library's Horizon series, which I can mix in GigaStudio. I have a few other minor applications for audio stuff that I use once in a while, and I recently received and have been testing out Reason 3.0.
