Anybody here heard of it? If so, here's the place you can discuss it and stuff. My friends and I just recently got hooked on it and we've been talking about it 24/7! If you don't know the name, but you know the game, (Which is what happened to us for about the first week. We just called it "The Pirate Game Thingy") or vice versa, I'll just remind you: Its the game where you get the little cards and you make them into cool little ship figurines and stuff. If you haven't heard of it, but you wanna check it out (which you should) here's the URL:http://www.wizkidsgames.com/pirates/default.asp .The game is really cool and very addicting! Have fun discussing (hopefully)!

Oh yeah. I used to play this game, and I was pretty good at it too. (I still have a big box of two of ships) Still, I got kinda bored of it after the 3rd expansion.

Jones' Girl's brother is really into this game. I think the little ships are pretty cool, but I learned a long time ago what a cash-sink games like this are and stay away from them for the most part. I am, however, looking forward to seeing what other games it will inspire. A Magic-like game with little buildable figurines would be cool, as would a future/space-themed game with buildable ships.

There actually was a spinoff of Pirates with retro-50's themed spaceships called Rocketmen. I think it failed, though, because I haven't seen them anywhere lately.

I don't understand. Are you saying they cost to much or are you saying they spent too much money to make them so they aren't going last long or what? Explain.

Like Warhammer? Or Warhammer 3000?

If this thing is anything like those two games I have neithe the patience or the money for it, but it still sounds cool.

Wow. Does anybody know this game who would actually be interested enough in it to, I don't know, actually play it?

I'm saying it's too costly for me, just like most games that encourage one to continually buy more and more cards/figurines/whatever. I think the concept is cool and I'm sure it's fun and kudos to whomever invented it, but I've got other things to spend my money on.
