School is starting again, the weather is getting colder, summer's almost gone. So, how was it? Did you do anything cool? Visit anywhere exciting? Are you depressed about having to go back to school?

For me, my summer was pretty sad. I had to say goodbye to my best friend (who I saw everyday and was the reason I left the forum a couple months ago) and move into a new house that's about 10km from anything even remotely cool (closest thing: Train Museum). My parents are acting really weird and bossy lately and to top it off I lost my MP3 player. Luckily, I remembered you guys were still here so I atleast had somewhere to escape to.

Anyways, enough with me being all sad and mopey, what did you do?

My grandfather and a dear friend of mine died this summer, how do you think my summer went?

I went to camp, went camping, and went to the beach. That's about all. And now I'm just sitting here, sleeping in, going to marching band in the afternoon. *sniff* Poor summer. I'm gonna miss you soon.

Yeah, that was rough, BTG. An old schoolfriend of mine was killed in a car crash the summer before last, so I know what that's like.

Anyway, this summer wasn't the best or the worst for me. Moving job, moving house - busy and dull at the same time.

Well, the first part was cool.

Camping, hanging with friends, awesome stuff. I was way happy.

Last bit was pretty stressful. Best friends moved away, I got real angry, Dad was real stressed, 2 close relatives are real real sick. That stuff. :/

Suckiest summer of my life. I didn't get to leave town once and I was basically forced to stay home all summer long! I'm sure next summer will just be worse.

I was working all summer cuz I was pretty much the only guy left in town and they couldn't find any other people to take other shifts. So many plans, no time at all. And now it's school already.

So... did anyone have a really good summer? All these depressing and/or lame or so-so summers... :-|

Highlights:

Going to N'awlins (New Orleans). I told you guys about that. It was fun to make fun of people who pronounced soda as "pop" or "coke".

Church Camp. It was great, cause I got to dance with seniors. It wasn't as good as last week, but it was still really cool.

Albuquerque. At the end of the summer, I was always in Albuquerque on the weekends. I went to a cousins wedding and cool stuff like that. And I never turned left (whatever that is supposed to mean).

And nothing really good happened on the forum. More like, people started going into "soap opera mode" and talking about themselves. How sad.

BTW, I already posted this topic, but everybody else's summer starts and ends later.

I went on vacation for six weeks which was pretty fun. But there were sill some bad parts. When I got home nothing bad happened. Today ruled. Yeah an okay summer.

*hugs for BTG*

My summer was too short. And too man-filled. I'm almost ashamed. Almost.

Not too bad all things considered.

I built a pond which took a while, but it turned out pretty good.

I visited relatives I never knew I had and found out they're freakin' rich. Not that it means anything of course...

I actually got outta the state of Montana for a while which was a big plus.

The only bad news was I didn't read as much as I would have liked and I'm still unemployed. All in all, not a bad way to spend the clear sky days.

Went to Camp Geronimo, a boy scout camp. Nothing says summer like jumping in a non heated pool at 5 AM. Anyway, I went to church camp, A day camp, and San Diego. This is my second week of school, and 8th Grade is awesome. God bless fellow people going into 8th Grade.
