For me, I use a combination of the old-fashioned way, and a computer. I usually clean things up on the CPU, then painstakingly sit here for hours coloring it.

However, I would like to use a Wacom or a similar device to draw. That way, not only will my drawings look like if I drew them on paper, but it won't take forever to complete. ;)

Yeah, on the compy. Without a tablet.

Which means I have to draw them with a mouse.

I can't use that excuse for why they're so bad, though. They look the same when I draw them on paper.

I'm all about drawing in the traditional fashion. Sure, we're living in an age of technology, but sometimes I like to live it old skool. Drawing with paper, pencils, black markers and pencil crayons just makes me feel like that classic cartoonist drawing daily strips for the local newspaper. Sure, I've experimented with the computer before, but I never really liked how my doodles turned out. I'm far more happier scanning my picture into the computer and leaving it as is. Go ahead... call me "old man", I'll keep drawing! I'll keep washing pen marks off my fingers and doing routine wrist stretches to get rid of my aches! :p

Yeah. Even if I do get a drawing tablet, I'll still draw with paper and pen. But if I just so happen to want to go ahead with a most likely short-lived idea of what I want to have my career in, I'll likely use the the tablet. I usually draw my pictures in pencil first, then pen it over. Saadly, I'm running out of good pens and it looks like my parents aren't going back to the Uni ball point pens I use. They don't tear the page and still look good. :p

I much prefer computer drawing. Though, I rarely make my own images from scratch unless they're very simple. I mostly edit already-made images or use them as a template. I'm basing the game I'm currently making off H*R for that reason, the most I have to do with graphics is take certain thigns out of scenes, which, though tedious, isn't all that hard when you know what you're doing, even for someone who's bad at art, like me.

Since I don't have a scanner.
What better to make my comics with a good ol' mouse!

You don't know how long it took to make pictures of my quality on Ms paint freehand.

I draw traditionally 99% of the time. Otherwise I use my mouse. Which is hard, dangit.

Oooooh! You're basically said what I wanted to say... kudos! I draw with pencils and paper 99% of the time... usually. I'm pretty noobish when it comes to drawing with a mouse. I have been thinking about purchasing Photoshop though... I don't know though. I'll probably just use it as something to mess around on.

I draw either way. If the computer is on I use the computer. If it's turned off I use pencil and paper.

I'm pretty sure that if/when I get my tablet, I'll look like Cheerleader there. I'm that obsessed with getting one. I've a feeling I'll just push it to the side twenty minutes into using it. :-|

Meh, I dabbled in digital art for maybe...a week. I've always preferred traditional mediums simply because there's so much more you can do with them. Also, I tend to feel as though digital coloring is a little more impersonal than, say, hand-inking and coloring yourself.

Plus, most of the really good programs are expensive and I'm broke. Not to mention the fact that I'm technologically impaired and probably wouldn't know how to use them.

Pretty much all the stuff I put up on the web is tablet-drawn (mostly because of my lack of a scanner - I do have one, but it's ancient, the quality of anything you scan in SUCKS, and the stupid thing won't even work on my good computer anyway so I have to scan everything on the old PC that still runs on Windows ME), but I actually prefer doing lineart in pencil/pen, it just feels more... natural for some reason. Unfortunately, coloring things traditionally is a completely different matter... never really could get the hang of it for some reason (probably cause I don't have any good pencils/markers because I'm el cheapo and poor. whut.), so I pretty much color everything on the computer.

But tablets are cool, though they really take a lot of getting used to if you're more accustomed to traditional or even mouse drawing. My first few tablet attempts were pretty darn horrible. X3 I'm still not great with using it, but it is a handy little thing to have.

I usually use ms paint to draw people, then animate them with powerpoint. 'Cause I'm cool like that.

Computer. I use the tablet sometimes, other times I use the mouse. In Flash.

I use neither. I stink at drawing. I usually stay with my horrible Photoshop skills.

I mainly draw the old school way, but I did draw a cool-looking anime dude one time with Pixia. From now on I'm always going to draw in real life and color my masterpieces via computer, because a few days ago I drew the best drawing in my life (a Naruto-like dude), but messed it up trying to color it with Prismacolor pencils last night. Bummer!

Either. But I don't combine both ways. Way too difficult for someone as incompetent as me.

I like Computer style.

I don't have a tablet, but I don't care. It just always looked better to me...

You know, I was thinking of that shortly after posting this topic. I thought I did post this in Fun Polls, but now I know I didn't.

I usually draw in Fireworks, which is drawing on a computer but much different from what you'd think. If I ever have to draw freehand, though, I'll stick to pencils until I get a tablet someday.
