It's not extortion, though.. File sharing of copyrighted materials is illegal.
I mean, sure, it's horrible that the RIAA gets rich from someone buying a CD for one or two good songs, but that doesn't make stealing the songs right (if you download the song without paying for it*, you ARE stealing, no matter how you might try to rationalize it).
Oh well, eDonkey bites the dust, 2 more groups just like them will pop up.
Internet file sharing isn't going to end. The nature of the internet pretty much ensures that it can't be stopped.
*Unless you're told you can download it by someone who has the right to tell you that you can download it (some bands love bootleg copies of their shows and/or give you tracks on their website), it's not legal.
