I like it, and I think this is the real box art because this is the same picture they showed here

Actually, the one you posted is colorized, whereas the one Reggie showed was in gold colors. I'm sticking to the golden boxart instead of the colorized one, just because Reggie showed it.

That has nothing to do with TP.

And DS, I thought about that to but I thought that that could have been to the bad camera quality, they may change it entirely from now 'till Nov 19th.

Yeah, but what's really important is to know whether or not it's really true that you can switch hands on the Wii.
I've been googling since yesterday and all I can find is people stating stuff without links to any kinds of sources on forums. Sure IGN said "Link is right-handed and that's final", but you can never really trust IGN.

It has also been suggested that the game might actually be "mirrored" for the right-handed people, but that sounds far-fetched.

OH YEAH!

I had been waiting for that for a loooooooooong time. But think about it. 90% of the world's population is right-handed. Obviously they're going to tool the Wii controls so Link has the sword on his right side.

Since when Is Link Right-Handed? I can't really recall a game where he was... (except in Lttp, where they mirrored his swinging animation to save cart space, and he swings with right when faceing east)

I wonder what Link'll be in the GC version.

If he's normal, yet another reason to prefer the GC version. I'll be quietly picking that up while the Wii version is sold out. ;D

He is left-handed in the GC version.

And lately I have also wondered if I should get the GameCube one, I mean, all that I have heard is that the Wii controlls are good but I think that my arms will get mighty tired after a while.

Link was right-handed in every game before Link to the Past.

Which is only two games. Both of which also featured brown-haired Link. This, however, is a blonde Link, and all blonde Links are left-handed. Also, there were pieces of official art that showed Link as a leftie as well as a rightie (Ambidexterous?), and if the proposed Game Boy Color remakes of the original Zelda game had ever been made, I'm guessing it would've retconned that idea.

A lot of old NES stuff has been retconned. And what do you have against left-handed Link, anyway? (?)

Absolutely nothing. In fact, I always thought it was cool that there was a left-handed hero in video games.

I just always wanted him to be like me, since I love The Legend of Zelda so much. ;)

Samus is right-handed. And consistently. Rather than flip the sprite, in all the 2-D Metroids except the first, there's actually separate sprites for her moving left and right. I always thought that was really coull.

Mm, I'm a huge Zelda fan and I say, this game looks better every time I see it.
I've spoiled everything up till the second dungeon for myself so far, but once the game comes out I'm just going to wait patiently and stop looking at spoilers because I don't want to know everything before I play it. So far it looks like it will have a deeper and a more nicely flowing story than the Zeldas before.

I wonder what's up with Midna... I have seen a lot of stupid theories about her. I just know she's going to be an important character, having her helmet (and some kinda armor) behind the logo and all... Hm...

And it's nice to see that the postman returns. YAA!

I'm still desperately curious... Will (the Wii-version) Link be just right-handed? All I've read about is a bunch of rumors and half-truths, nothing that would truly confirm that you can or can't changes hands. Atleast it's possible to do so in Warioware Touched and it does affect gameplay; I've tried playing both in the left-handed and the right-handed mode.

Wikipedia wrote:
Midna, a new character, is a resident of the Twilight Realm. At a certain point in the game she decides to team up with Link to fight a “greater evil” that she cannot overcome alone. Midna (once teamed up with Link) breaks out of a "prison" with him. For these parts, the player controls her while she rides on Wolf Link’s back, however, during certain portions of the game Wolf Link may be controlled without Midna (as seen in the snowy landscape featuring Wolf Link without Midna). There has been much speculation regarding Midna’s identity. Official sources, however, do not suggest in any way that she is a familiar character, confirming only that she changes form in the normal world as Link does in the Twilight Realm. She disappears once Link re-enters regular Hyrule (in the demos), and has been said by Aonuma to remain with Link in another form. During the E3 2005 trailer she used her spellcasting abilities to paralyze Twilight creatures so that Wolf Link may attack them with ease. It was also stated by Aonuma that her magic will be leveled up as well as Wolf Link's abilities.

In a recently released video at IGN.com, Midna is seen appearing out of Link's shadow. Also in a recently released video, however, it shows Midna in her Twilight form with Link in his normal form when Link obtains the Master Sword. In the end of another trailer, there is a quick image of what may be Midna threatening Princess Zelda.

Later in the game, Midna will allow Link to teleport across Hyrule, quickly spanning great distances.

I for one am now really excited about this game. I'm probably gonna get it before Christmas for the GameCube. I'm excitteeedddd. Then I'll have Ocarina, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess all for the GameCube. w00t.

Sorry, but Link is only right-handed in the Wii version. Personally, I don't see the problem with this, because if Link were to be left-handed, I could easily swing my left hand like my right hand (and no, I'm not ambidextrous).

Dan it... Well, I'll still be swinging the sword with my left-hand, but I guess it's just going to take a little time to learn matching the right-handedness and stuff.
I just hope it won't be as big a pain in the butt as it was in Warioware Touched to play with a different hand setting, since some of the games were really uncomfortable and clumsy that way.

Heh, thanks for helping, but yeah, I'm up to date with everything revealed about the game so far ('cept for the stuff that guy at IGN forums has spoiled about the game. He says way too much so I'm not reading it). It was more like I was wondering to myself about her place in this game's story.

Anysways-is, has anyone seen the fifth volume of Iwata Asks? They talk about Twilight Princess and it's a rather interesting read.
