What horrible things have happened to your iPod?

The two worst things that have happened to mine is that my dog threw up all over mine ( I go to sleep with it playing and leave it in the corner of the bed. My dog was feeling sick, and threw up. She sleeps with my on my bed, and it was just my luck that she was right near my iPod. I think she was aiming for it.), and one time I was on the couch listening to it and swinging around. I started going faster, and the headphones came out of the iPod and the iPod went flying and hit the tiled fireplace, and made a loud noise. Luckily, neither was damadged.

You can tell about your other MP3 Players, gameboys, cd players, or anything like that if you want.

WEll, first off, I put my iPod through the wash by accident.

And now I can't find it.

The only thing I've ever done to my Nano was putting it in my pocket. I wasn't paying attention, and I dropped in in there with my keys. Nothing happened to the front, but the back (shiny silvery side) got scratched up pretty bad. Applesauce* won't even get the scratches out.

Well, I suppose you could count the time I dropped it and it fell behind the seat when I was flying back from California. Nothing happened to it, but I DID have to wake up the dude behind me (the flight left San Jose at 10 PM) and get him to hand it back to me.

*The kind you use to clean iPods, not the kind you eat.

All I've done is dropped it multiple times. It still works though.

And can I talk about my camera? Cause it got hit with my sister pitching a ball at 50+ mph. It works fine though! Weird...

Swinging it around by the headphone wire and having it fall off and hit the floor.

That's it, really.

I accidently shot mine with an airsoft gun. my friend was listening to it, we were shooting our airsoft guns and i thought it'd be funny to shoot him when he was busy. I shot at him, hit the ipod a coupla times, an dhe dropped it and came after me. It still works though, they made those 3rd generation iPods freakishly durable.

I drop mine all the time, usually on my route between work (the mall) and school. I have a Mini, the pink one (as you'd expect), and it's actually in a lot better shape than my friend Brittney's pink one, which is in crap shape. Hah... and I have the reputation for not taking care of my things. Whatever!

I got mine stolen. That's what happened.

Mine just has a bunch of places where the titanium is nicked. I've dropped her plenty of times, too, one time even into a puddle, but nothing happened to her. And one time into the sand. That only damaged the earbuds, though. Now I use BIG GIANT SCARY HEADPHONES.

Yes. My iPod mini is a girl.

Titanium? You mean aluminum? (Or whatever metal is on the outside.) iPods aren't that high-end.

What makes Shuffles more vulnerable to damage or accidents? Mine's been fine the whole 3 months I had it. Then I gave it to my dad. Who still hasn't done any damage to it.

Yes, if only the HDs within them were as superb. My dad's 3G iPod died because of a bad hard drive.

wait, i remember something that happened.
my friend was listening to his iPod at school, when i went over to him from the back, and he span around, and the ipod flew out of his hand, into a conveniently placed bucket of water. he grabbed it quickly, but it was damaged. luckily, he was the nice type of friend who doesn't blame you for such extremely coincidental acts.

Well, someone had told me it was titanium, but I just checked Wikipedia and it says it's aluminum. Makes more sense, yeah.

Welll.....

I think the first time was when I left my 1st generation pink iPod mini in the glove compartment of my mom's car, and it fried up or something so when I got back, I saw the FROWNY IPOD SCREEN OF DOOOOOM!!!!!(Man, frowny iPods always freak me out for some reason.) So I went on the site that my iPod conviently showed on the screen for me, and I tried everything and nothing worked! Then I went to the apple store and they couldn't fix it! Luckily for me, there was still a month left on my warranty, so they gave mah a new one. I dropped the bag on the way out. :p

Then I lost my mini, and I borrowed my mom's vidieo (WHICH SHE NEVER USED!!!) from her for a while. Now aboot a week ago, I found the mini, and it's just... non-responsive. :(

Plus, now my vidieo is all scratched up. I gotta get that applesause stuff...

my 3G went nuts on me while i was listening to it. allofa sudden, it just keeps playing the same bit of song over and over. i let it die (batteries) and then when i plugged it into the ol' comply later it was fine. it was a weird little incident, though.

My sister's cell phone was dropped in a barrel of grease. It still works. The barrel had to be drained though.

i don't know who, what, or how a nextel phone it is.
but if it's anything like my mom's old clunky Nokia 5110, okay! it's been dropped, wet, magnetised, crushed, and now it's being held together with a rubber band.

o, phones! my friend's phone was underwater in a stream for about 30 seconds and it still worked absolutely fine. It was on and everything, but there was no damage to the screen or the electronics or whatnot. as for my phone, i just toss it a lot.

My little brother took our GameBoy Advance SP outside to play and then ended up losing it. It was missing for weeks.

Eventually we found it closed up in a pile of mud, having to go through many days of cold and rain. Because it was closed and had a game cartridge inserted, it still worked, although not as well as before. The cartridge itself was unharmed.

Unfortunately the ports were broken, so we can't recharge it any more. And since it has that special battery, it's stuck without juice. Fortunately we don't need it anymore now that we got a DS.
