For those of you who want to know the reason why the Nobel Prize was given, here is the official statement.

Nobel Peace Prize Committee wrote:

for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.

Sounds a little "meh" to me.
